"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
Brice and Candice Irwin have been Home Instead owners for almost 10 years and are passionate about providing quality in-home care to the seniors and families of this community. A former school administrator, Brice's family has been living in Harford County for generations. Office staff joke that Brice is the unofficial mayor of Bel Air because he seems to know everyone. Candice has also lived in Harford County for most of her life, where she built a successful career in human resources. Together they raised three children in Forest Hill, where they still live.
Emily was recruited by her in-laws, Brice and Candice, to join the family business in 2016. Her professional background is in marketing and communications, and throughout her career she has worked for LifeBridge Health, Towson University and the Daily Record. Emily has always had a desire to help people and feel like she is making a difference, so Home Instead has been a perfect fit. Here, she has the honor of hiring and training our excellent CAREGivers – the heart and soul of our office – among other duties. Emily lives in Towson with her husband, two young children and one spastic Boston Terrier.
Originally from New Zealand, Sherida has made Harford County her home for more than 15 years. She first joined Home Instead in 2014 as a CAREGiver, but we quickly discovered the contributions she could make as our Home Care Consultant. Cheerful and knowledgeable, Sherida cares deeply for the seniors of this community and works hard to ensure we are doing everything possible to provide quality care for our clients. She also serves as our community outreach liaison through our partnership with the Walk to End Alzheimer's and annual Be a Santa to a Senior charity program. She and her husband are raising their three teenagers right here in Bel Air.
Kim joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2015. She brings to the office many years of professional experience in the health care field, where she worked as a surgical coordinator and medical secretary for a doctor's office. As service coordinator, Kim talks with new and established clients and their families to hear their needs and develop a personalized plan of care that meets those needs. She then comes back to the office and puts that plan into action by matching CAREGivers with clients to build lasting relationships. Kim lives right here in Bel Air, and spends most of her free time with her four young grandchildren.
Sharon is the newest addition to the Home Instead team. She started as a CAREGiver and was quickly chosen to join the office staff. Resourceful, positive and sincere, Sharon happily and attentively responds to clients, CAREGivers and inquiries with a genuine desire to help. Before joining Home Instead, she worked as a receptionist for Jones Junction. She was also an elementary school teacher for Harford County Public Schools for more than 25 years. She lives with her husband and teenage son in Forest Hill.
