There have been so many people ask me how I became involved in Home Instead Senior Care after working in a corporate business world my entire career. After 22 years, I felt I was ready for change and needed to make a decision on what it was I wanted to do.When I was growing up, there was always a very close connection between myself and the grandparents in my life. I'll never forget having the opportunity to learn about vegetable gardening at a very young age from my grandfather and what made his sweet peas the best around. Being able to run free for hours around my great grandmother's farm with my cousins at a family reunion. Having the opportunity to walk to either of my grandmother's after school each day and spend time with them - just because I could. Looking back, I see how important my parents were to their families when needed to provide home care leading up to any medical requirement or long term assistance. Now, it only seems natural for me to have the opportunity to make a transition from sales and marketing to continue my career sharing and giving back to seniors as the owner of a Home Instead Senior Care franchise. Since making the change, there have been no regrets. Not a day goes by where I haven't felt the reward of helping the clients that we have come to know like our very own families. Our roles are more than just the task of putting a caregiver into the home of a senior in need. At Home Instead, I can feel satisfied knowing that we have met the needs of the entire family as well and they are comfortable knowing their loved one is well taken care of.Dan Leonard - Owner, Home Instead Senior Care
