Home Instead Senior Care Featured on Forbes’ 2017 Best Employers ListOMAHA, Neb. – May 9, 2017 – Forbes' third annual "America's Best Employers" list has named Home Instead Senior Care one of its best employers for 2017. The list was generated using anonymous feedback from employees at the nation's top employers.

Companies on the Best Employers' list range across 25 different industry sectors – from government services to retail to healthcare. While the 2017 list featured a variety of healthcare companies, Home Instead is the only provider of home care services for seniors.

We are currently seeking a Client Care Coordinator who has a passion for seniors to join our team. We are looking for an organized individual to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. This position involves managing quality assurance with extensive one-on-one interaction with clients and families. This person is responsible for effectively managing multiple demands that come with the changing needs of the clients. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced organization and possess excellent communication skills, be service-oriented and have the ability to work well in a team environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Meet potential clients and family members to discuss their needs and provide solutions in the form of a service plan.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and a consistent follow-up schedule with clients and their families.
  • Work with other team members to coordinate various aspects of a client's care
  • Recognize and pursue opportunities to modify service plans to best support the ongoing needs of all clients through a quality assurance program.
​​​Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
  • 3+ years experience in  home care, health care or senior-related industry required and equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary

On Call Coordinator

Job Details

For 17 years Home Instead Senior Care of Charlotte has enriched the lives of seniors in Mecklenburg County. This position involves supporting the business after hours to ensure the all clients and CAREGiver needs are handled efficiently. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced organization and possess excellent communication skills, be service-oriented and have the ability to work well independently. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls live and respond to them.
  • Communicate with CAREGivers and clients regarding scheduling as changes arise.
  • Fill open assignments with appropriate CAREGivers.
  • Effectively match and schedule CAREGivers with clients on new and ongoing assignments, ensuring that every shift is assigned in a timely manner, to the client’s satisfaction and with appropriate follow up with all parties. 
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records, including client/CAREGiver activities, progress, and communications between all parties.
  • Document all calls, changes and follow up needed for clients and CAREGivers.
  • Communicate effectively with Staffing and Client Care Team about clients and CAREGivers. 
  • Work with Client Care Team to satisfy all client concerns in a timely manner.

Skills required:

  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Organized; able to create and maintain systems that support effective communication between Client Care team members
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, initiate solutions and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate “customer first" prioritization of activities
  • Experience with Office 365, Excel and Word
  • Have a passion for seniors
  • Home office or private work space
