  • Providing companionship and friendliness to seniors

Qualifications:
  • You have at least 15 hours per week of availability
  • A passion for making the lives of seniors better
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector check and reference check
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Access to a vehicle is not required, but an asset

Service Coordinator

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care KW is looking to add a full-time Service Coordinator to our growing team! By joining Home Instead, you will be joining an organization that is changing the face of aging in our community.

SERVICE COORDINATOR

The Service Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks related to both client care and service delivery. They will provide excellent service to clients and families through our quality assurance procedures and will work closely with CAREGivers to meet all service requirements.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Service Coordinator will be a key member of the administrative team and will work closely with other key players to help ensure effective operation of all business needs.

Requirements of Position:

  • A reliable vehicle to conduct business outside of the office
  • Work the scheduled hours of Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Participate in after-hours on-call service on a regular basis
  • A satisfactory vulnerable sector police check and 3-year driver’s abstract

Duties:

  • Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Field calls from CAREGivers, existing clients, and managing new client enquiries
  • Enter client enquiries into Clear Care and arrange care consultations
  • Coordinate care consultations, introductions and QA visits
  • Follow up on CAREGiver assignments
  • Keep accurate records by entering CAREGiver and client information into Clear Care
  • Manage the scheduling portfolio by being accountable for all scheduling transactions
  • Ensure all key indicators are met or exceeded, including increasing hours, decreasing cancelled shifts, and ensuring staffing is done in a thoughtful manner
  • Provide support in the field, if required, by participating in introduction visits
  • Provide assistance to other team members as needed
  • Adhere to all procedures and policies, especially the Quality Management System
  • Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director and/or Director of Client Care

  • Ability multitask and handle several competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to accurately track and report data
  • Ability maintain confidentiality AT ALL TIMES
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer programs (Office suite, database software)
