CAREGiver- DAY SHIFT

Job Details

Who doesn’t want to wake up every morning and go to a job where they are part of a team that is having fun and making change in the world?!?! Believe it or not you can get paid to do something you love and have fun while doing it!

Home Instead Senior Care office in East Multnomah & Clackamas County are looking for people who want to Build Trust, Take the Lead and Share their Hearts! Our CAREGivers are fun, enthusiastic and passionate about serving seniors in their community.

 

Home Instead currently has openings for Day Time CAREGivers. Typically, these shifts occur from 7am-7pm and can range from 3 hours to 12 hours, depending on your individual availability and client need. Home Instead is looking for both Part-Time and Full-Time CAREGivers during these times.

Home Instead Senior Care is heavily involved in the senior community. We hold regular fundraisers and education classes so that our CAREGivers feel involved in what’s happening locally and prepared for situations that might come up in the home. We offer 24 hour support from a live office staff member. Our 24 hour emergency line ensure CAREGivers are never left alone and can always count on the administration to back them when needed.

Home Instead Senior Care values its caregivers and offers:

401K benefit after 1 year
Medical benefits after 6 months and an average of 130 hours a month

The care we provide varies from basic companionship, housekeeping, errands, transportation, bathing assistance, personal hygiene and more! We only have one job description and all who apply must be ready, willing and able to perform all levels of care we offer. Applicants must also be in good physical condition and have the ability bend, stoop and lift 25 lbs consistently.

Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator (Gladstone)

We place CAREGivers with seniors in their homes to encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of daily activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence.

We're growing and are looking for a Recruitment and Retention Coordinator who has the ability recruit new CAREGivers to our team through creative avenues, interview possible caregiving candidates to join our team, engage current employees by developing and maintaining an ongoing engagement program and train employees as needed. This person will also possess strong interviewing skills with the ability to seek out and find the right candidates for our business. The right person will be strong at relationship development and management with the ability to develop and coordinate programs. The right candidate will also be well organized, creative, VERY detailed and with a strong ability to problem solve.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
*Engage and participate in community events and job fairs
*Creatively find new ways to reach and connect with possible new candidates for our team
*Conduct applicant Interviews
*Develop and coordinate an ongoing employee engagement program
*Conduct caregiver training's
*Conduct caregiver orientation's
*Consistent and detailed notes , logging and filing of employee information(paper form and computer documentation)

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must thrive and excel in a fast paced environment
* Strong Team Player Mentality
* Strong understanding of HR policies and Labor Laws a major plus
* Excellent at Relationship Development
* Experience with program coordination and leading a team to ensure ongoing success
* Ability to present, teach and educate caregivers
* Experience in teaching and presenting is a plus
* Strong marketing/social skills
* Results Oriented
* Self-Motivated
* Problem Solver
* Cool and calm under pressure
* Desire to be held accountable
* Punctuality, dependable, ability to work independently
* Excellent interpersonal skills
