November 21, 2018

We need your help to donate to the seniors in our community who are less fortunate and who might be alone this holiday season.

How it works:

Go to one of the participating locations listed below and look for the Be a Santa to a Senior tree on display from Nov. 21 to Dec. 10.

  • Walmart, 41200 Murrieta Hot Springs, Murrieta, Ca.
  • Walmart, 32225 Temecula Parkway, Temecula, Ca.
  • Menifee Valley Medical Center, 28400 McCall Blvd., Menifee, Ca.
  • Brookdale Senior Living, 24350 Jackson Ave., Murrieta, Ca.
  • Kaiser Permanente, 36450 Inland Valley Dr., Wildomar, Ca
  • Kaiser Permanente, 28150 Keller Rd., Murrieta, Ca
  • Kaiser Permanente, 27309 Madison Ave., Temecula, Ca

Each tree will be decorated with ornaments featuring seniors’ first names and their desired gifts. Holiday shoppers can choose an ornament, buy the requested gift(s), leave it unwrapped, attach the ornament or place it in the package with gift and return it to the store/facility where the ornament was picked or take it to our office location at 41880 Kalmia Street, Suite 140, Murrieta, CA 92562.

There’s no need to worry about wrapping, our wrapping party is scheduled December 12th from 12:30p to 4:00p  —  community volunteers and program partners will wrap each gift and distribute the gifts to local seniors in time for the holidays.  If you would like to participate please call (951) 696-2100 to be on our list for participants. Deadline for unwrapped gifts and bulbs: Monday, December 10th

“Be a Santa to a Senior helps bring comfort and a smile to many seniors. It shows them that people care about them and see them as an important part of the community,” said Paul Dziuban, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving the Inland Empire Cities in Southwest Riverside County. “Social isolation is a concern among seniors and the holidays often intensify feelings of distance and loneliness. When we distribute the gifts and spend some time with them, it makes a big difference.”

“We’re always excited to see how much Be a Santa to a Senior boosts seniors’ spirits during the holiday season,” said Paul Dziuban. “And we are grateful to be a part of a community that comes together to make this happen.”
