In celebration of its 16th anniversary, the Home Instead Senior Care® office serving Louisville will be gifting $16,000 to four senior-serving, nonprofit organizations. Input from the community will determine which organizations will receive the donations, which will be given quarterly through March 2016.

“We are asking the community to help us decide how to gift the money,” said Becky Beanblossom, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office in Louisville. “For the first donation, we’re asking people to go to our Facebook page and cast their vote for one of the following – American Cancer Society, Louisville office; Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Kentucky/Southern Indiana chapter; American Heart Association, Louisville division; or the Stroke Association of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The organization that receives the most votes by June 16, 2015, will receive the first $16,000 donation.”

Three additional $16,000 donations also will be made based on input from the community. For complete details, visit https://www.homeinstead.com/269/calendar/look-who-is-celebrating-its-sweet-16.

All of the organizations are benefiting from an award presented to the Louisville-based franchise from the Home Instead Senior Care corporate office. The office received the exclusive Founder’s Award based on monthly production and outstanding service to their clients. The award provides grants to the recipients to benefit projects or organizations in their communities.

Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of home care and companionship services to area seniors that keep them safe in their homes including home helper and companionship services as well as Alzheimer’s and personal care.

“I have a tremendous passion for the elderly, which is why we started this business,” Beanblossom said. “It’s very rewarding to be involved with these organizations and something we want to continue to do. It really feels good at the end of the day to know we’ve made a difference.”
