The list was generated using anonymous feedback from employees at the nation's top employers.

Companies on the Best Employers' list range across 25 different industry sectors – from government services to retail to healthcare. While the 2017 list featured a variety of healthcare companies, Home Instead is the only provider of home care services for seniors.

CAREGiver Ambassador

We have a unique opportunity that will be based in our Bethel Park office in the South Hills (across from South Hills Village Mall).

 The
CAREGiver Ambassador will report to the office in the morning and be on-call to cover call offs, job shadowing, or Introductions for fill-in assignments.   If there are no caregiving needs, you will be assigned light administrative work including data entry, filing, answering phones etc. or participate in training or an event.

For your skill & flexibility you will be guaranteed hours and paid at a higher pay rate.

Weekdays - Scheduled from 8a-12pm Monday-Friday
Weekends- Scheduled 8a-12pm Saturday and/or Sunday


Position requirements include:
  • Extensive caregiving experience in order to fill in for any level of care, CNA is preferred.
  • Valid PA Drivers License, clear MVR, reliable automobile and auto insurance.  Mileage will be paid.
  • Prior administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Professional image and organized.

Team Lead for Scheduling

We are a busy and growing home care company that services Southwest Allegheny and Washington Counties.  Our office is based in Bethel Park.  We are is seeking a uniquely talented individual to oversee our scheduling activities and team of 6.

Our Service Coordination (scheduling) team matches CAREGivers with potential Clients in order to provide great care, great service and a great experience for our seniors who want to remain at home and be as independent as possible.  In our call center, we all work very closely together and wear multiple hats throughout the day - supporting our CAREGivers, supporting our Clients and supporting our Co-Workers. 

We are looking for the RIGHT person to join us in our efforts to be the BEST home care company for our clients, the best employer for our CAREGivers and the BEST Co-Workers in the office.  We work hard and there is no room for drama - we want team players who are willing to do what it takes!

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care provides in-home  companion, personal and specialized care to seniors living in Southwest Allegheny and Washington Counties.  We have an terrific opportunity on our scheduling team in our main office which is located in Bethel Park (next to South Hills Village Mall).

Our schedulers do much more than fill shifts!  They are in constant communication with our CAREGivers and Clients via the phone or text/emails about work opportunities, schedule changes and care updates. They educate CAREGivers on Availability and manage changes.  They participate in New Hire Orientation, set up job shadowing and Introductions to launch a new CAREGiver's career.  They are the service center of Home Instead.

Doing this job well means CAREGivers are working the hours that they want, Clients have great CAREGivers, new Clients have a consistent CAREGiving Team in place at launch and new CAREGivers are supported and engaged.  When done right, our business thrives and you are impacting lives!

It's not a job for everyone though- you must be engaging with a friendly, positive attitude.  You must like to be busy and always be working ahead.  You must be able to problem solve, remember details and be a very good communicator.  You cannot get flustered during the peaks and you cannot lose momentum during the valleys. You must respect what a CAREGiver does (and it helps if you are one  yourself!)

For the right person, this is a very rewarding position- you will form solid relationships with CAREGivers and Clients, you will see the results of your efforts and you will know that you have made a difference in the lives of others.  You will learn something new each day and develop a bond with your co-workers that will make you feel that you can accomplish anything!
