Brandy Kindred - June 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

Brandy Kindred - June 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

Brandy has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care for almost three years now and has worked well over 1,000 hours. Brandy is adored by all of her clients and she represents Home Instead in the most positive manner. She helps a lot of our Options clients and makes sure that they are in a well-kept environment.

Not only is Brandy an exceptional CAREGiver and always helps pick up hours when she can but she also goes to school and takes care of her children. She has completed the Alzheimer's training and is a driving force to keep her clients safe and aging gracefully.

Brandy's dedication to her clients, to Home Instead and to her career is why she is June's 2015 CAREGiver of the Month. Congratulations Brandy, you deserve it!

Mary Lou Walters - March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

Mary Lou Walters - March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month

Mary Lou Walters has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care for nine years now. During that time, she has provided nearly 8,000 hours of compassionate care to all her clients and shown a special touch for those on hospice. She is a dedicated Home Instead employee, having even referred several clients during her tenure. Not only is she a devoted CAREGiver to seniors, but also is a caregiver for her granddaughter when she is off the clock. She takes a genuine interest in her clients and cares so much that they become family.

When we approached Mary Lou to be our CAREGiver advocate for our spot on 19 Actions News, she didn't hesitate one bit. When the news crew arrived at her client's house, she was "dressed to impress" in her Home Instead polo and khakis. Her camera presence was remarkable; you would have thought she was a professional! With that said Home Instead is proud to honor Mary Lou Walters as the CAREGiver of the Month for March 2015. Congratulations Mary Lou, you deserve it!

Alvena Gribble - CAREGiver of the Year 2014

Alvena Gribble - CAREGiver of the Year 2014

Congratulations, Alvena Gribble, our CAREGiver of the Year for 2014. Hired in  2007, Alvena  is within shouting distance of providing 10,000 hours of high quality service to her clients. Nice work!

She has helped many clients over the years and taken on lots of challenges. But it's not the hours or tough cases that earned Alvena this award. These words from a client family member explain everything:

"Alvena was not just a 'caregiver,' she became a member of our family. She treated dad, and all of us, with kindness, respect, care and compassion, and most of all, love. Dad left earth for heaven, holding Alvena's hand. There can be no greater testament to Alvena deserving to be Caregiver of The Year than this example of her loving care."  Congratulations, Alvena!

Mille Beltran - November 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

Mille Beltran - November 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

The CAREGiver of the Month for November is Mille Beltran Mille started in July of last year and has provided approximately 1,300 hours of kind, conscientious care. Most of Millie's care has been provided to just one client. Of, course, she provided great care to this client, but she also saved her life. What?? Well, possibly. The client was released from the hospital and after being home for a few days, exhibited troubling symptoms. Concerned, Millie reviewed the client's meds and found one of the new prescriptions was wrong! Wow, good eye! When you become CAREGivers here, we ask you to be "detectives" for your clients. Well, Millie has taken this to heart. For that and all she does, we congratulate Mille Beltran, CAREGiver of the Month.

Bob Ugan - August 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

Bob Ugan - August 2014 CAREGiver of the Month
Help us congratulate our CAREGiver of the Month, Bob Ugan!

Bob started serving our senior clients in February of this year. Over the last two months, he has really gone “all in” by helping one of our facility-based clients nearly every day. That’s the dedication the client family is very pleased to see! (We know because they told us.)

Bob works hard. Plain and simple. Lately he’s been putting in 7 days a week. Furthermore, he’s been willing to stay a little later or come a little earlier to help his clients have more consistency. Bob puts the client first and worries about the rest later!

Mary Vecchione - July 2014 CAREGiver of the Month

Mary Vecchione - July 2014 CAREGiver of the Month
A veteran CAREGiver, Mary joined the team in 2003 and surpassed 2000 hours of delivered service some time ago. She has delivered nearly half that to just one client over 4 years. That’s what we call building a relationship!

Mary works with her client in a facility and things always go smoothly between her and the staff and the family, who resides out of state. In a word, Mary is a pro. She has even worked in some extra time to train an additional CAREGiver for this primary client. That’s dedication!

Linda Clark - March CAREGiver of the Month

Linda Clark - March CAREGiver of the Month
Hired in July 2013, Linda has already delivered more than 1300 hours of service to her clients. She has taken on many long shifts with some of our facility-based clients and has done a wonderful job. She has even worked a few stay-awake overnights, too! Linda has built meaningful relationships with two clients who suffer from memory loss. She cares for them almost daily and brings comfort.

Does she also go the “extra mile” in bad weather? Yes! On the day of a big snow, she could not take her client to his favorite place for breakfast. So, she went there for carry out and brought it to him. The client (and his family!) were very pleased.

Gwenn Harrison - February CAREGiver of the Month

Gwenn Harrison - February CAREGiver of the Month
Congratulations, Gwenn Harrison, CAREGiver of the Month for February. Hired in May of 2013, Gwenn has delivered more than 1000 hours of service to her clients. She has spread most of those hours among three clients but has been very well-liked by everyone she's spent time with!

One reason for that is Gwenn’s promptness when she accompanies them to appointments. We all know how seniors worry about getting places on time!

She helps a client in a facility and, due to her professionalism, is much appreciated by the facility staff...not to mention the client’s family. That’s the way to bring the “whole package” to help your clients thrive!

Justina Williams - January CAREGiver of the Month

Justina Williams - January CAREGiver of the Month
Congratulations and many thanks to our CAREGiver of the Month for January, Justina Williams

Hired in May of 2013, Justina has provided 1000 hours of quality service to her clients. She's worked primarily with two clients and they both just love her!

Oh, and she loves them! Justina makes an effort to be flexible for them by changing her schedule around when they ask her to...just a little something extra to help out.

One of her clients has some mobility issues so Justina decorated her home (and tree) for Christmas and made her client’s day. She takes initiative and strives to enhance her clients’ lives, which is why the families hired us. Exactly!! That’s the way to do it!
