​Welcome!  I am Kurt Kay along with my wife Karla.  We possess a heartfelt desire to serve seniors in your community. Purchasing the business in October of 2008, we are passionate about seniors and hire Administrative Staff and CAREGivers that share in our commitment to offering caring, compassionate and loving service to your seniors. 

Being a previous business owner, I am diligent about hiring employees that will uphold the Home Instead Senior Care standards as well as my personal standards of excellence and reliable work ethic.  What does that mean to you?  It means we will provide the best possible CAREGiver specifically placed to work with your senior.  We will demand pride in their work ethics, habits and reliability.  Your worries about who is caring for your loved one can be left to us.
 
When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Kendra Koser

Kendra joined the Mechanicsburg Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2012 as a Community Liaison.  She grew up in Mechanicsburg and enjoys working in the county where she was raised and attended school.

Kendra is passionate about helping seniors and building relationships with all of the community referral providers.

She volunteers at Holy Spirit Hospital and delights in giving back to her home community.

When Kendra is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, and their three sons. She enjoys baking, shopping, taking bike rides, playing with her 2 dogs and watching her sons compete in sports. 


Chris Miller

Chris Miller

Chris is a Care Manager Director for the Home Instead Senior Care in Mechanicsburg, PA. Prior to working for Home Instead, Chris worked as a business manager in the service industry.

In 2010, she learned about Home Instead while caring for her aging parents.  It became clear to her that the values of Home Instead were consistent with her passion to give back to the seniors in the community. Chris joined the Mechanicsburg Home Instead family in 2013 and feels it has given her life new meaning.

Chris was born, raised and continues to call the Central Pennsylvania area her home.  In her free time, Chris enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and their spoiled puppy, Tobi.


Deb Andress

Deb Andress

Deb joined the Mechanicsburg Home Instead Office in 2008.  She has held several positions within the company and is now an integral part of the Client Care Team as a Care Manager. In this position, Deb meets with family members and their loved ones to discuss the services that will allow them to live independently in their homes.

Deb has over 25 years of customer service and management experience.  That experience, along with her passion for building relationships and caring for seniors led her to Home Instead.

She resides in York with her husband, Dave, and daughter, Brittany. In her spare time she enjoys time with her family and traveling.


Crystal Failor

Crystal Failor

Crystal joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2011.  Her roles have changed within the company from CAREGiver to On Call Supervisor, Staffing Coordinator and now she is a Care Manager for the Mechanicsburg Team.   

Crystal loves the relationships she has with the clients, CAREGivers and the office staff.  She feels fulfilled knowing that the Home Instead clients are happy, safe and well cared for.

When Crystal isn't busy working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, daughter Sheilby, and son Christopher. She also enjoys watching fast pitch softball, Nascar races, scrapbooking, and many outdoor activities. ​


Julia Miller

Julia Miller

Julia joined the Home Instead Team in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2017 Julia's position changed to Human Resources Coordinator after working hand in hand with the hiring manager for more than four years. The additional responsbilities Julia assumed with positive outcomes, lead to this promtion.

Julia remains committed and dedicated to serving the eldery through consistent open communication with the CAREGivers and hearing there stories. Her personal experience, witnessing first-hand the mission and dedication of the Home Instead CAREGivers providing services to two of her loved ones keeps Juia grounded in this industry. She is a graduate of HACC with her Associates in Business Studies. 

Julia lives locally and enjoys traveling, hiking, sports and hanging out with friends in her spare time.


Carolyn Frantz

Carolyn Frantz

​Carolyn joined Home Instead Mechanicsburg in 2016.  She is the Training Coordinator and works directly with the CAREGivers to provide them the highest level of training.

Prior to joining Home Instead, Carolyn was an at-home assistant where she found her joy in caring for the elderly.  She has spent many hours volunteering in schools, for charities and other civic organizations.

Carolyn is passionate about educating new CAREGivers and recognizes the importance of developing quality CAREGivers for the Home Instead clients.  "I love that Home Instead Senior Care is leading the way in educating CAREGivers and I am honored to be a part of that process."

In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her three daughters & 4 pets, visiting family in Virginia and travelling.


Brooke Litz

Brooke Litz

Brooke joined the Mechanicsburg Home Instead team in 2013 as a Service Coordinator.  She has a strong background in the customer service industry which included training and mentoring other staff members. This experience has proven to be invaluable in her current service coordinator position. 

Brooke finds the task of matching CAREGivers with clients to be extremely rewarding.  Offering consistency for the client by providing a compatible CAREGiver creates an environment that is beneficial to the family. Home Instead has given Brooke the opportunity to visit with some of her clients and hear firsthand how much they value her. 

Outside of the office, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, watching her son play football, sing in the chorus and play clarinet in the band. 


Tammy Himmel

Tammy Himmel

Tammy started with Home Instead Mechanicsburg in 2017 as a Service Coordinator. Prior to joining the team, Tammy worked in a large residential community as an enrichment specialist for their dementia unit. Tammy is also a CNA who provided years of service as a health care aid to the senior population.

Tammy took on the role as service coordinator with enthusiasm and excitement, committed to buiding fulfilling and rewarding relationships between CAREGivers and their clients. Tammy's CNA background coupled with her experience working with dementia patients has made her a perfect fit for this role. 

When she is not in the office, Tammy enjoys running, hiking and spending time outdoors with her family.


Jonathan DeHoff

Jonathan DeHoff

Jon joined Home Instead Mechanicsburg in 2017 as our CAREGiver Administrative Assistant.  Jon recently graduated Penn State with his Bachelor of Arts Degree. His previous positions were working in the customer service industry having direct contact with the public. 

In this new role, Jon supports each department with various tasks to ensure a meaningful experience with clients and CAREGivers through effective and efficient communication. Jon is a sound problem solver, often times handeling issues on first contact. Jon's education and previous work experience are ideal for this role.

During his free time, Jon enjoys travelling, sailing, working out, and spending time with his family.



Amy Murphy

Amy Murphy

Amy started with Home Instead Senior Care in 2004.  She has served in several roles and currently is the Payroll Administrator.  She is a 2004 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Science.

Amy finds joy in knowing that Home Instead is impacting the community by providing quality CAREGivers and serving seniors by allowing them to stay safe and comfortable in their home.

Amy currently lives in Harrisburg with her husband and 2 young children.  She enjoys baking, watching movies and running in her free time.
