Kurt and I worked side by side since 2008 serving the seniors of the Cumberland and Perry County areas. Upon Kurt's passing in May of 2019, I was given the opportunity to acquire Home Instead Senior Care. I am thrilled about this opportunity and I look forward to engaging with the community and continuing the support our team and our amazing CAREGivers! I feel especially blessed to be able to carry on my Kurt's legacy through our children and Home Instead Senior Care.
Our General Manager, Amy Murphy, starting with Home Instead in 2004. She performed many roles in the office and was recently promoted to GM after 14+ years with the company and her experience, loyalty and commitment to being a supportive leader to our team. She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Science.
Amy finds joy in knowing that Home Instead is impacting the community by providing quality CAREGivers and serving seniors by allowing them to stay safe and comfortable in their home.
Amy currently lives in Harrisburg with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys baking, watching movies and running in her free time.
Deb joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2008. She is the lead Care Manager. Deb has held several positions within the company, however enjoys her current role the best, as it allows her meet with family members and their loved ones to discuss the services that will allow them to live independently in their homes. Deb consistently demonstrates her genuine desire to help the seniors in our community.
Deb has over 25 years of customer service and management experience. That experience, along with her passion for building relationships and caring for seniors led her to Home Instead.
She resides in York with her husband, Dave. In her spare time she enjoys time with her family and traveling.
Rachael joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2018. She is one of the Care Managers who works with our clients and their families. Rachel's 20+ years of experience in customer service, including working with a local hospice agency make her a great fit for this position.
Rachael was drawn to Home Instead because of her personal experience when she became a caregiver for her own family, She recognized the over-whelming need in the community for there to be qualified people who find joy in building relationships and working with families the way she does.
Rachael was born and raised in Central PA. In her free time Rachael enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Carolyn joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2016. She is the Training and Enrichment Coordinator and works directly with the CAREGivers to provide them the highest level of training.
Prior to joining Home Instead, Carolyn was an at-home assistant where she found her joy in caring for the elderly. She has spent many hours volunteering in schools, for charities and other civic organizations.
Carolyn is passionate about educating new CAREGivers and recognizes the importance of developing quality CAREGivers for the Home Instead clients. "I love that Home Instead Senior Care is leading the way in educating CAREGivers and I am honored to be a part of that process."
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her three daughters & 4 pets, visiting family in Virginia and travelling.
Crystal joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2011. She is the Service Manager, overseeing a team of service coordinators and on-call staff. While Crystal's role has changed several times over the course of her career with the company, it is scheduling she enjoys most.
Crystal loves the relationships she has with the clients, CAREGivers and the office staff. She feels fulfilled knowing that the Home Instead clients are well cared for, happy and safe.
When Crystal isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, daughter Shelby, and son Christopher. She also enjoys watching fast pitch softball and Nascar races, scrapbooking, and many outdoor activities.
Naomi joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2009 after working for over 30 years in the Healthcare field.
She started as a caregiver with HISC before moving to the Quality Assurance area.
She is a graduate of Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing.
Naomi visits with Home Instead clients on a regular basis to ensure they are receiving the services they need to remain in their homes and are happy with the care they are receiving. She has enjoyed building relationships with clients over the last 10 years. One of the favorite parts of her job is talking with clients and learning about their life experiences. She feels there is so much to be learned from them.
She enjoys reading and trips to the beach but her greatest joy is spending time with her 3 grandchildren
Melissa Mundis, our Office Coordinator, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She made the move to PA almost five years ago. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their three year old daughter, Piper. In her free time she enjoys cooking, antiquing and being outdoors. Melissa is excited about meeting all of our CAREGivers. She finds it very rewarding to be a part of a company that provides quality CAREGivers to our clients so they can remain in their homes.
