​Welcome!  I am Kurt Kay along with my wife Karla.  We possess a heartfelt desire to serve seniors in your community. Purchasing the business in October of 2008, we are passionate about seniors and hire Administrative Staff and CAREGivers that share in our commitment to offering caring, compassionate and loving service to your seniors. 

Being a previous business owner, I am diligent about hiring employees that will uphold the Home Instead Senior Care standards as well as my personal standards of excellence and reliable work ethic.  What does that mean to you?  It means we will provide the best possible CAREGiver specifically placed to work with your senior.  We will demand pride in their work ethics, habits and reliability.  Your worries about who is caring for your loved one can be left to us.
 
When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Amy Murphy - General Manager

Amy Murphy - General Manager

​Our General Manager, Amy Murphy, starting with Home Instead in 2004.  She performed many roles in the office and was recently promoted to GM after 14+ years with the company and her experience, loyalty and commitment to being a supportive leader to our team. She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Science.

Amy finds joy in knowing that Home Instead is impacting the community by providing quality CAREGivers and serving seniors by allowing them to stay safe and comfortable in their home.

Amy currently lives in Harrisburg with her husband and 2 children.  She enjoys baking, watching movies and running in her free time.


Deb Andress - CARE Manager

Deb Andress - CARE Manager

Deb joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2008.  She is the lead Care Manager. Deb has held several positions within the company, however enjoys her current role the best, as it allows her meet with family members and their loved ones to discuss the services that will allow them to live independently in their homes. Deb consistently demonstrates her genuine desire to help the seniors in our community.

Deb has over 25 years of customer service and management experience.  That experience, along with her passion for building relationships and caring for seniors led her to Home Instead.

She resides in York with her husband, Dave. In her spare time she enjoys time with her family and traveling.


Rachael Speelman - CARE Manager

Rachael Speelman - CARE Manager

​Rachael joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2018. She is one of the Care Managers who works with our clients and their families. Rachel's 20+ years of experience in customer service, including working with a local hospice agency make her a great fit for this position. 

Rachael was drawn to Home Instead because of her personal experience when she became a caregiver for her own family, She recognized the over-whelming need in the community for there to be qualified people who find joy in building relationships and working with families the way she does. 

Rachael was born and raised in Central PA.  In her free time Rachael enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 


Carolyn Frantz - Training and Enrichment Coordinator

Carolyn Frantz - Training and Enrichment Coordinator

​Carolyn joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2016.  She is the Training and Enrichment Coordinator and works directly with the CAREGivers to provide them the highest level of training.

Prior to joining Home Instead, Carolyn was an at-home assistant where she found her joy in caring for the elderly.  She has spent many hours volunteering in schools, for charities and other civic organizations.

Carolyn is passionate about educating new CAREGivers and recognizes the importance of developing quality CAREGivers for the Home Instead clients.  "I love that Home Instead Senior Care is leading the way in educating CAREGivers and I am honored to be a part of that process."

In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her three daughters & 4 pets, visiting family in Virginia and travelling.


Crystal Failor - Staffing Coordinator

Crystal Failor - Staffing Coordinator

Crystal joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2011.  She is the Service Manager, overseeing a team of service coordinators and on-call staff. While Crystal's role has changed several times over the course of her career with the company, it is scheduling she enjoys most.    

Crystal loves the relationships she has with the clients, CAREGivers and the office staff.  She feels fulfilled knowing that the Home Instead clients are well cared for, happy and safe.

When Crystal isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, daughter Shelby, and son Christopher. She also enjoys watching fast pitch softball and Nascar races, scrapbooking, and many outdoor activities. ​


Jen Clapper - Staffing Coordinator

Jen Clapper - Staffing Coordinator

Jen has 20 plus years of customer service experience and her genuine desire to help people made her a great fit for this position. Jen is looking forward to building personal relationships with our CAREGivers, clients and the office staff. Making sure the Home Instead clients receive the best care possible is most rewarding to her. When Jen isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece Sawyer and nephew Beckett. She also loves football, baseball, hockey, golf and the local dirt track racing in here in Central PA. In addition to loving sports, Jen also loves gardening and being outside as much as possible, summer is her absolute favorite season. Jen is also passionate about volunteering in the community and has participated in several walks to raise money for Breast cancer awareness, Alzheimer’s research and suicide prevention.  


Melissa Mundis - Office Coordinator

Melissa Mundis - Office Coordinator

Melissa Mundis, our Office Coordinator, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She made the move to PA almost five years ago. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their three year old daughter, Piper. In her free time she enjoys cooking, antiquing and being outdoors.  Melissa is excited about meeting all of our CAREGivers. She finds it very rewarding to be a part of a company that provides quality CAREGivers to our clients so they can remain in their homes.

Danielle Parsons - On-Call Supervisor

Danielle Parsons - On-Call Supervisor

Danielle joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team in 2017. She is the On-Call Supervisor, working primarily on the weekends. She has resided in the West Shore area for the last 15 years.

Danielle has 25+ years' experience working in the health care industry.  She held previous positions as an Emergency Medical Technician for the State of Pennsylvania and as an Instructor for Medical Assisting and Medical Building and Coding. 

Danielle was raised by her grandparents and having firsthand knowledge of the elderly population will make her successful in her current role. 

In her spare time, you can find Danielle spending time with her only daughter, watching her play softball and reading a good book.
