Sheboygan CAREGiver of the Month

October 2018 | Sheila B.

What makes her a great CAREGiver: Sheila is always willing to accommodate her schedule to assist with last-minute scheduling needs. She even stays later to help her clients, if needed.

Attribute(s) of Love (v.) she demonstrates: Sheila is a great example of selflessness and commitment. For example, one of her clients asked her to bake several dozen cookies for her daughter’s event. Sheila agreed to make them before her shift ended. She even stayed later to finish up; however, to her surprise, the cookies were “flat as a board.” (The oven was not working properly, but, because she didn’t want the daughter to be disappointed, she went to the store after her shift and purchased several dozen cookies.)

Likes: Sheila likes to read, garden and spend time with her grandchildren. She is an active member of a book club, the Sheboygan Historical Society and her church.

September 2018 | Jennifer P.

September 2018 | Jennifer P.

What makes her a great CAREGiver: Jennifer is compassionate, sympathetic and great with high-acuity clients.

What sets her apart: Jennifer always puts clients first, making sure their needs are met and pitching in whenev-er and however necessary.

Attribute(s) of Love (v.) she demonstrates: Jennifer consistently demonstrates commitment to her clients and to Home Instead. When caring for clients, her attentiveness to details really shines through in her work.

August 2018 | Tara R.

August 2018 | Tara R.
What makes her a great CAREGiver: Tara takes care of every acuity level and does so with passion and the flexibility to cater to each client’s personality and communication needs.

What sets her apart: Tara has sacrificed personal time to help whenever needed, including filling gaps in coverage as well as leading CAREGiver-client introductions and even new-hire trainings. Tara repeatedly puts clients first, with no expectation of thanks in return. Her greatest joy is helping clients get back on their feet and becoming independent again. All of this testifies to Tara’s selfless, never-say-no attitude.

July 2018 | Kat C.

July 2018 | Kat C.
A CAREGiver since March, Kat is being recognized for the selflessness she continually displays. Kat has also adjusted her personal schedule, juggled other jobs and taken on shifts outside her desired times in order to help clients.

A colleague had this to say about Kat’s willingness to put her clients’ needs ahead of her own:

“Thank you for the personal sacrifices you make, the dedication you show your clients, and the love you give to help keep seniors happy and in their homes. To you, it’s personal.”

May 2018 | Sue W.
