Scott M. Harrell-Franchise Owner

Scott M. Harrell-Franchise Owner
Scott Harrell, owner of Home Instead Senior Care of Tallahassee, has been with Home Instead since 1998 when he worked as a CAREGiver while in college. "I remember my first client like it was yesterday. We connected immediately because of his love for baseball and I had played the game for all of my 20 years", he says.

Six years later he had worked his way through Recruitment & Retention Coordinator and Staff Coordinator until by 2004 he was running the office. Scott is currently serving on several community non-profit boards and auxiliary boards in the Tallahassee area. Alzheimer’s Project, Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation, Big Bend Hospice Tree of Remembrance Committee, Elder Care Services RSVP Program Committee.

"Our family chose Home Instead because of the relationship we had formed with Paul Hogan when he sold my father a Merry Maids franchise back in 1994. We as a family felt that with Paul's passion, enthusiasm and research in regards to senior care it was a huge win-win for us all", says Scott. The fact that this office is local and family-owned makes such a difference. Scott frequently visits with clients, their family members and referral sources.

Home Instead Senior Care Tallahassee uses a "step process" that must be completed before an applicant can become a CAREGiver. They also have on staff a full-time RN with more than 25 years of experience in education and direct patient care. "She is able to provide expertise to our CareGivers regarding emergencies that may come up", says Scott.

While this business and his non-profit commitments, along with his family keep Scott hopping, he says, "What keeps me motivated is that I really love helping people."

Debbie Powers- Staff Coordinator

Debbie Powers- Staff Coordinator
I have been with Home Instead Senior Care since August 19, 2004. I started out as a caregiver, then after 8 months I moved to the office as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. A year later, I became the Staff Coordinator. I presently do the staffing, billing, and payroll hours for our clients and caregivers. I enjoy staffing the best because I am able to interact with the clients as well as the caregivers.

I presently live in Tallahassee Florida with my husband Nick and our daughters Kelly and Megan.

Marc Moncrief- Regional Marketing Director

Marc Moncrief- Regional Marketing Director
I have worked with Home Instead for 7 years now.  I was just recently promoted to the Regional Marketing Director position.   I have spent almost 25 years working in the aging field in Tallahassee.  I worked for Elder Care Services for 15 years as a case manager and Administrator over the direct client services.  I then worked for Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare / Adult Day Services as their social worker for 2 years before coming to Home Instead.  I have known Home Instead and the Harrell family since they opened the Franchise here in Tallahassee and I feel fortunate to be working for not only a great family that cares about the quality of care to seniors but also that the Franchise is committed to quality of service and high standards of care.

I have been married to my wife Sherry for 26 years and we have two great children, Megan and Trevor.  My daughter is married and both of our children are attending college.  I really enjoy saltwater/freshwater fishing and working in the yard.
