There comes a point when it’s evident to their loved ones that elderly parents no longer are capable of living on their own and decisions must be made regarding their care, whether in a caregiver’s home, a nursing home or assisted living facility (ALF). For Sandy Esposito, that moment came last year on the heels of a minor emergency with her mother, Nancy Huzar.

Mrs. Esposito said her husband has been nothing but supportive of having Mom at home and pitches in with caregiving duties. The couple receives assistance from an aide from Home Instead Senior Care several hours a day.
