Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh) will host his annual Senior Expo on Friday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Community Center, located at 3450 Brookside Road in Lower Macungie. The event, co-sponsored by St. Luke’s University Health Network, has a new home this year, a result of district boundary changes that took effect after the 2014 election. “The Senior Expo is always fun and informative,” said Mackenzie. “There will be door prizes and games, as well as the always-popular bingo. Additionally, St. Luke’s will be offering free health screenings, and dozens of vendors will provide information about programs and services designed to meet the needs of older Pennsylvanians.” Bingo will begin at 9 a.m. – one hour prior to the start of the expo. Mackenzie will once again call the numbers. Flu shots will also be offered, subject to availability from the vaccine supplier. Individuals wanting to be vaccinated should bring their Medicare and any other health insurance cards with them. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by calling (610) 965-9933 or visiting RepMackenzie.com and clicking “Senior Expo.”
