From the Client’s Perspective…

"Where is she?"  That's what your client is thinking when you're late!

Our clients look forward to seeing you and have all sorts of things planned for your time with them.  When I think back on my time as a CareGiver, I remember walking into my client's house to find the newspaper all spread out because there was a story in it about one of my relatives! She had figured out the connection and was so proud of herself for being right! We never know what the clients are thinking but we do have an idea of how important we are to them, whether it's in terms of the tasks we do for them or the relationship we build with them. If it's an appointment day for them, they are really depending on us to get them where they need to be on time or early.

They may be looking forward to the meals we will be preparing or getting the laundry done; but whatever it is, it matters.  I would suggest trying to be early—ten minutes or so!!
