Dinner And A Movie

Christmas and the holidays are over so I have the time to eat out and go to the movies! All of us here in the office went out to dinner for Linda's birthday and the holidays at Bravo at the Lehigh Valley Mall and had a good time. It's a large, well-lit restaurant with an excellent wait staff where we had dinner from appetizers to dessert and it was wonderful! I can recommend the eggplant and zucchini fritti, the calamari fritti, the shrimp scampi, grilled salmon, and the dessert trio - cannoli crumb, vanilla bean creme brulee and warm chocolate peanut butter brownie. We feasted!
Yesterday, I saw the movie "Fences" with Denzel Washington at the comfortable AMC theater on Tilghman St. (you gotta love those recliner seats!) and it was excellent. It's a hard movie to watch. Set in the 1950s, it looks at lower class African-American life with baseball as the father's dream, building a fence, raising a son, and being responsible for the family, and faithful to your wife as the issues. Not easy for anyone! It was a good movie to see with lots to think about. So it goes!
