Home Instead Senior Care Featured on Forbes’ 2017 Best Employers ListOMAHA, Neb. – May 9, 2017 – Forbes' third annual "America's Best Employers" list has named Home Instead Senior Care one of its best employers for 2017. The list was generated using anonymous feedback from employees at the nation's top employers.

Companies on the Best Employers' list range across 25 different industry sectors – from government services to retail to healthcare. While the 2017 list featured a variety of healthcare companies, Home Instead is the only provider of home care services for seniors.

The Receptionist/Front Desk is expected to perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties.  The Receptionist/Front Desk is expected to answer phones, complete administrative duties and support other staff members with clerical tasks in order to provide the highest quality service to clients and CAREGivers. This position is Sunday-Thursday and is on-call Sunday nights.

Primary Responsibilities:                                                                             

  • Reflect the core values of Sensenbach Senior Care, Inc.
  • Greet and welcome each visitor in a friendly, warm and professional manner
  • Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner and distribute incoming calls to the appropriate staff members
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in the operating system
  • Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems with staff members as appropriate
  • Determine each visitor’s purpose in a pleasant manner and promptly notify the appropriate staff member of their arrival
  • Assist with stuffing and mailing client invoices
  • Organize and distribute the daily mail according to prior instructions
  • Monitor and log both client and CAREGiver activity and follow up on CAREGiver assignments and client service in the operating system. 
  • Field new client & CAREGiver inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner and schedule care consultations
  • Create a log of the activities of your shift and communicate that to the designate key player(s).
  • Fill all Client shifts following designated office scheduling processes. 
  • Communicate changes in Client Shifts to the Client(s) and CAREGiver(s). 
  • Fill in on assignments that come open until a replacement CAREGiver is found
  • Ensure Home Instead Senior Care standards are met and upheld
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and CAREGivers
Secondary Responsibilities: 
  • Participate in quarterly CAREGiver meetings
  • Order and stock office supplies
  • Maintain supplies for postage, fax, credit card and copy machine
  • Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary​​​​​​​

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for a special individual to join in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.

This position will work with a team of Recruitment and Retention Specialists to recruit, hire, and retain CAREGivers.

Primary Responsibilities are not limited to the following:

  • Meet with potential CAREGiver applicants to determine position suitability
  • Provide orientation and trainings
  • Coach CAREGiver staff so they feel supported and valued
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Use of spreadsheets to capture trends and data
  • Maintain regular attendance in order to execute job responsibilities
  • Must be willing to share in the on-call schedule (typically 2 nights per month)

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • One year experience in home care, health care, social services, or a senior-related industry preferred. A background in recruiting with emphasis on retention is desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness
  • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, CAREGivers, and the community
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Excel,Word, Outlook
