"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
My wife, Lori, and I are the proud owners of the Home Instead Senior
Care business of Central Oregon. We love being part of the Home
Instead Family because we share the values and Mission of the national
organization. Additionally, a personal positive experience with my
grandfather led us in this direction. Grandpa passed away on
Thanksgiving Day 2010, but he as able to live at home until he was 92
because of a service like we provide. I come to Home Instead Senior
Care with over a decade of management experience primarily in the
software industry. It has been a life long dream to own and operate my
own business and coupled with my experiences with my grandfather
purchasing an existing Home Instead Franchise was a perfect match. I
have lived in Central Oregon since 1986 and love living here where
there are so many outdoor family activities to enjoy. In my spare time, I
enjoy spending time with my family camping, hiking, fishing, and
hunting. We also are avid Oregon State Beaver fans. I am married to my
wonderful wife Lori, have 2 great boys: Bobby (21) and Shayne (18).
Todd and I are thrilled to own Home Instead Senior Care of Central
Oregon. We love meeting our clients and our CAREGivers and hearing all
the wonderful stories they have to share. This business is a real
blessing in our life. Like Todd's grandfather, we had a similar
experience with my grandmother that helped us understand just how
important caregiving is in the lives of seniors. My professional
experience has been in financial analysis, accounting and internet
advertising. All of these areas are proving invaluable to me as we
embark on this journey. In 2004, I was able to accomplish a personal
goal of earning my Master of Divinity degree. I'm excited to use the
counseling and communication training I received through that program in
our new business. Todd and I love being a part of the Central
Oregon community, and take advantage of all the outdoor activities every
chance we get. In the spring and summer you'll find us fishing the
Cascade Lakes or hiking the buttes and mountains. We also spend a lot of
time watching youth sports: football, basketball and baseball.
I am a native Oregonian. I was born and raised in Southern Oregon, and
moved to Bend about 5 years ago. I enjoy running, swimming, spending
time with friends and family and activities with my church family. I
started working for Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver in April of
2009 and was shortly after invited to join the office team as the
Receptionist. I get to work with a team of amazing people while still
enjoying visits with and, at times, getting to care for the clients that
I love so much. Working for Home Instead has been the most rewarding
job I have had during my short career!
My name is Abby. I moved to Bend in 2008 from my home state of Colorado.
I started working for Home Instead in the fall of that same year as a
CAREGiver. I never pictured myself in the field, but soon learned that I
had the heart of a CAREGiver. I have worked with many different clients
over the years and each one of them has brought a unique experience to
my life. I am now working in the office and really enjoy getting to know
all the clients and caregivers who make our company so outstanding.
Outside of work I take pleasure in all that Central Oregon has to offer.
Hiking, fishing, camping, and snow sports are some of my favorite
pastimes. I’m very appreciative for the opportunity to work with Home
Hi, I’m Karen. I am a native Oregonian born and raised in Prineville. I have two grown sons and four grandchildren.
I also have a very spoiled mini Doxy named Rudy.
I started working as a CAREGiver for Home Instead Senior Care in 2011, after caring for my mother for 3 ½ yrs.
Working with seniors is a very rewarding occupation and I enjoy it very
much. I feel honored to say that I am now a part of the office staff and
am also enjoying that very much.
Spending time with my family is my main priority. I like to read a lot, mostly mystery and suspense novels.
I also like to watch scary movies. When I have the chance I like to go
camping and 4-wheeling.I also like to work in the yard planting flowers
and pulling weeds.
Hi there! My name is Bobby and I am the eldest son of Todd and Lori
Sensenbach. I am currently enrolled at Oregon State University where I
am studying business and psychology. In the past, I’ve held many
leadership positions. They include roles in student government, FBLA,
sports teams, and the food service industry. I’ve been privileged with
the opportunity to attain hands-on experience in the business setting,
while under the guidance of my parents and co-workers. This summer I
plan to absorb as much as I can from marketing, my favorite aspect of
business. While I’m with Home Instead, I want to incorporate the
concepts I’ve learned in school, but more importantly, I want to take
brand new concepts back with me.
I’ve lived in Oregon almost all of my life and no matter where I end up,
it will always be home to me. My personal interests and passions
include film, writing, music, and learning about human behavior. In my
spare time I enjoy team sports, snowboarding, hiking, and anything else
I moved to Bend in September 2014 with my husband Jamie, Danny my son and Rory our mixed lab dog (who thinks she is human). I was born and raised in Ohio, but have since lived on both sides of the country and am now very happy to call Bend our home. My background has been in health care for over 18 years, always having worked with Seniors. I was hired here at HomeInstead in November 2014 as a CAREgiver, and this past March was given the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of people as a Weekend Supervisor/Receptionist in the HomeInstead office. In my career, I found such enjoyment working with the elderly and learned so much from all my experiences with them. On a personal level, I helped to care for both of my parents in the later years of their lives and treasure all the time and memories of caregiving for them. Being HomeInstead is a belief very near and dear to my heart, and I feel honored to work toward this goal with our caregivers on behalf of our clients.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy hiking, biking and just exploring new areas. In addition, I love music of all types, movies and dance.
I am thrilled to be part of the Home Instead team. I have been a nurse for nearly four decades and caregiving is my passion. I have worked in neurosurgery, psychiatry, medicine, home health and emergency, and as a college instructor. I love people and service to them which led me to several years in seminary.
I am a native of the Adirondack Mountains, but spent most of my life in Seattle where I raised two sons, who are now parents. I am blessed with four grandchildren with whom I cherish hiking, paddling & skiing.
I also have an MFA in creative writing & have published poems & essays which have become part of my memoir-in- progress.
I moved to Oregon in June of 2016 with my 4 kids from Southern California to begin a new adventure here in the PNW. I was with the Home Instead Senior Care family in my home town for almost 4years. I have enjoyed the diversity of Oregon with all the great people and events there is to offer. I was so happy to find that Home Instead Senior Care Bend is close to my new home and I became a CAREgiver shortly after we arrived to Bend. I have enjoyed caring for our seniors in the community and I am privileged and honored to continue serving our seniors in our community as well as our fantastic Caregivers.
Home Instead offers free monthly newsletters with tips and advice for caregivers of elderly loved ones.
Each Home Instead Senior Care franchise is independently owned and operated.
