I am a big believer in healthy food and companionship for Dementia victims.  They can help steer the path of cognitive decline.  Very often when our care givers start caring for someone with a form of Dementia, an early discovery is the senior is not eating properly.  Poor diet and nutrition link directly to sleep, exercise, even medication efficacy.   Loneliness is also widespread among seniors, but often unnoticed even by close family.

How much more cheerful is a meal with someone?  How about a meal cooked by someone for us in our very own home?  If 'cheerful' over-states it, then I'll take 'purposeful'!"

Please enjoy this linked article about a renowned food author, Paula Wolfert.  She was diagnosed with Dementia early.  Being an author and foodie, she decided to share her journey.  Read this carefully and look for eating tips that worked for her!
