A tradition of great caregiving means that we take care of our own as well as we take care you and your family.

Home Instead, Inc. recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

Appleton CAREGiver of the Month

October 2018 | Marcia C.

October 2018 | Marcia C.
What makes her a great CAREGiver: Marcia embraces caregiving with passion and excitement. She sees her clients as gifts and believes that her path has crossed with theirs for a special reason. That special reason is why she aims to apply all eight love attributes when serving her clients.

What sets her apart: Marcia has been with us since the beginning of 2018, but this is her second rodeo. She worked for us a few years ago and knew she’d be back when the opportunity was right. She said, “How can there be a better place to work when God is our CEO?”

September 2018 | Dennielle (Denny) S.

September 2018 | Dennielle (Denny) S.

What makes her a great CAREGiver: Denny goes above and beyond in her commitment to her clients and team members. Clients Alice and Bob have stated that Denny is more like a daughter to them. With either client or teammate, Denny has been a team player who continually puts others’ needs before her own.

What sets her apart: Denny became a CAREGiver during the 2017 holiday season — a big change in her career path. She came to us with a desire to help others. Starting with her first shift, she has made a huge impact on our clients and has excelled in her new role. She is a tremendous asset to our great team!

August 2018 | Linda H.

August 2018 | Linda H.

What makes her a great CAREGiver: Linda demonstrates kindness and calmness, using a soft-spoken approach.

What sets her apart: Linda continually goes above and beyond for each of her senior clients. A testament to that is a personal note that we recently received from one of them.

“I really appreciate all that my CAREGiver...has done for me. She has given me the gift of encouragement and hope in a difficult time, ever since a fall in my house last November. She helps me with exercises, which has made me stronger. And my health has improved! She was such a comfort when my cat...was sick. She is so compassionate, very kind and sympathetic. She brightens my entire day by her presence. What a blessing she has been to me! There are so many things I couldn’t have done without her, especially being able to stay in my house and become more independent ...”

July 2018 | Kayla S.

Kayla’s positive attitude and upbeat personality made her our pick for July. When Kayla moved to the area for nursing school last year — and subsequently discovered Home Instead — we were impressed by her “always happy” presence.

In her time with us, Kayla has also proven to be giving and sensitive to her clients’ needs and wants. In fact, Kayla is beloved by more than just her clients but also her clients’ families! Many of these families have reached out to the office to express their happiness with Kayla. In addition, she is always willing to fill in when an open shift arises, something helped along by her love for meeting new people.
