Thank You, Nurses!

  3. Thank You, Nurses!

This week, we've been observing National Nurses Week, which ended yesterday on Florence Nightingale's birthday. You may wonder why the dates were Friday to Thursday, instead of Sunday to Saturday like most weeklong observations. That's because they're the same dates every year to help organizations plan better. You see, nurses, they're all about planning ahead.

This week has been so important to us because nurses are so near and dear to our hearts. At Home Instead Senior Care, we work with the nurses on our staff and in our community to carry out our mission of improving the lives of seniors. Here are just a few of the ways nurses help us every day:

  • Overseeing care plans: the nurses on our staff supervise our professional CAREGivers to make sure that they are providing the most appropriate and necessary care for our clients.
  • Training: nurses keep our professional CAREGivers and our administrative staff up to speed on what we need to know to best care for our clients and their families.
  • Communicating with the rest of the care team: we often rely on nurses to captain the care team and ensure that everyone is on the same page with treatment plans and options.
  • Ensuring compliance: state and federal healthcare regulations are constantly changing. Nurses help us remain in compliance with them while maintaining the highest quality of care.

As we close out another National Nurses Week, we want to thank all the nurses in the Mesa area and everywhere. We truly couldn't do what we do without you.
