Thanksgiving naturally makes us stop and think about the things that really are important to us. At Home Instead Senior Care, we have so much to be thankful for… our staff, CAREGivers and clients who make everything we do so worthwhile. We are thankful for YOU.

It’s a time to be grateful for your health, family, friends, and having food on the table.  It’s also a time to share in the blessings we are all given.

Whatever your family traditions… from football to turkey, watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade or “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”… take advantage of this time with family to fortify the ties that bind.

While you are gathered together for the holiday, ask your senior loved one what they’re thankful for. Use this conversation-starter to help him or her reminisce about past Thanksgivings spent with family, and enjoy sharing in the rich history provided by their memories. You will be thankful for the opportunity to share and learn.

Tell your senior loved one that you are thankful for what he or she has taught you. What blessings can you share with your loved one?  An attitude of gratitude can enrich both your life and theirs.

Does your family have a favorite recipe? Make it together for your  meal this year – you will be thankful you did.

As you share your wishes, traditions, blessings and thanks this holiday, we wish each of you a happy, blessed and memorable Thanksgiving.  "In all things, give thanks."
