beginning to look a lot like Christmas – shoppers are crowding the
malls with loaded bags in-hand, carols linger on the airwaves and our
calendars are quickly filling with holiday celebrations.
people, this is a joyous season – a time to gather with family and
friends and cherish time spent with those we love. Unfortunately, that’s
not the case for many area seniors. If they don’t have family or
friends living nearby, older people can feel very lonely and isolated –
especially during the holidays.
We’re working to lift the spirits
of those seniors through our Be a Santa to a Senior program. Now in its
eighth year, the program provides gifts for seniors who might otherwise
be forgotten. While the gifts always are appreciated, it’s the visit
with the volunteers who deliver them that often means the most.
hope you will consider helping us brighten the holidays for local
seniors in need by donating to our Be a Santa to a Senior program. It’s
easy to do – just stop by an area Walgreens store, choose an ornament
off our tree and purchase the gift that’s listed on it. Leave the gift
at the store so we can pick it up, wrap it and deliver it to a deserving
senior. Visit www.beasantatoasenior.com, or our website www.homeinstead.com/eastvalley for tree locations.
Your generosity is very much appreciated, and your support will truly make a difference in the life of a deserving senior.
