Never Say Never

You don't need to feel guilty if you have a sweet tooth or enjoy a jolt of caffeine in the morning. Some treats, in moderation, are actually good for you.

  1. 1. Dark Chocolate: This sweet indulgence is rich in antioxidants and can help regulate levels of the stress hormone cortisol. The flavanol in dark chocolate reduces inflammation. Coca can also lower blood pressure.

  2. 2. Popcorn: Popcorn is packed with polyphenols, which are antioxidants. As an added benefit, popcorn is considered a whole grain.

  3. 3. Pistachios: This tasty nut contains more than 30 vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, including lutein and zeaxanthin. These two antioxidants are associated with a reduced risk of age-related macular degeneration. As a bonus, pistachios are one of the nuts lowest in fat and calories.

  4. 4. Coffee: Go ahead and reach for your morning brew. Drinking coffee on a regular basis can reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease, diabetes, liver disease, headaches and colon cancer. It can also improve your memory and reduce stress. This beverage is a good source of antioxidants, too.
