Twenty For Twenty

A Celebration of Home Instead's 20th Anniversary

20.png
Twenty years ago, on August 19th, 1997, Home Instead Senior Care opened its doors in Richmond, VA. "Home care" was not a common term back then, but so much has changed that now it seems to be a household name. But while a lot has changed over the last 20 years, there's one thing we know for certain that has not: Home Instead Senior Care. We are a company that puts people first: our clients, our caregivers, and our community.

That's why we're rallying the troops - that's you! - to help us raise $20,000 for the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House

When Torsten and Teresa Steinfatt opened the Richmond franchise of Home Instead Senior Care, they were the only two employees. They built partnerships, brought on clients, and even served as the caregivers to the clients! Since then, we have provided over 2 MILLION hours of companionship, personal care and dementia care services in Central Virginia, Tappahannock and the Northern Neck. Now it's time to celebrate our achievements and we couldn't be any more excited than doing that through a means of helping another great organization that helps familes in our community.

On September 21st, we had a grand celebration at The Wine Loft to help us ring in our anniversary, and raise over $12,000 a great cause! All proceeds from the event tickets, along with funds raised from the silent auction and partner sponsorships will be given to our good friends at the Reinhart Guest House. But we're not done yet! You can still contribute today!

Located on the St. Mary’s campus, the 14,000-square-foot Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House has 16 guest rooms and common areas for families of the hospital's patients to eat, relax, play, work and pray. It's a home away from home that brings people together in a place where they can experience healing and community together.
