Rock Steady Boxing was selected by Susan Miller, owner of Home Instead Senior Care of Volusia County, to be the recipient of a $30,000.00 charitable donation. The donation will allow Rock Steady Boxing to further their efforts in enhancing the lives of those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease throughout Volusia County.

Parkinson’s disease causes a loss in many of the same elements that boxers condition to improve. And published medical research has shown that forced, intense exercise can reduce, reverse and delay Parkinson’s symptoms.

Rock Steady Boxing of New Smyrna/Port Orange, a 501 c 3 recognized charity, specializes in fitness rehabilitation programs to assist Parkinson’s disease patients.
