The need for in-home senior care services doesn't always arise between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Home Instead's mission is to "change the face of aging" in Rhode Island. Non-medical and personal care services provided by trusted CAREGivers and CNAs give families the support they need for elder loved ones to remain at home with dignity and respect. 
 
Since 1997, Home Instead staff has grown to 300 full and part-time employees serving thousands of families in Rhode Island. My staff shares in my passion for serving the community and delivering on our promise of excellence. Our values are uncompromising as they are the foundation on which our reputation has been built.
 
My management staff, CAREGivers, CNAs, and I are privileged everyday to help families by providing home care solutions to the most challenging and difficult aging-in-place decisions families face today.


Patti Brennan, Home Care Consultant

Patti Brennan, Home Care Consultant

​Patti joins the Home Instead office team after serving as a CAREGiver and Ambassador for almost 4 years. She worked in the dental field for 35 years as chairside assistant, hygienist, then owner of an orthodontic lab. Early retirement plans included missionary work (foreign and domestic) before morphing into a passion for caring for the elderly. 


Donna Lynn Carroll, Service Coordinator

Donna Lynn Carroll, Service Coordinator

​Donna joined the team May of 2015 as the Family Resource Specialist, then moved to Staffing Coordinator.  She has received an Associate's Degree in Human Services with her concentration in Mental Illness and Substance abuse.  Her eclectic list of experience includes work in group homes assisting adults with special needs, education for 17 years with both typical and special needs children, a behavioral specialist for a nonprofit organization and work in a Home Based Therapeutic Program with Austistic Children who had a history of abuse.  She also worked Field Agent at Met life and was living as a caregiver for an elderly man who had Alzheimer's the last 3 years of his life.  Her experience has brought her to this perfect fit of Service Coordinator, helping CAREGivers and client families with aging safely at home.


Linda Chasse, LPN

Linda Chasse, LPN

​Linda Chasse has worked in long term care facilities as a nurse and admissions coordinator for over twenty five years. She is familiar with the needs of the elderly from a personal and professional aspect. She understands the decisions clients and their families face regarding long term care versus home care. Linda enjoys caring for and supporting their choice to remain in their home safely with the assistance of Home Instead CAREGivers and CNA'S.


Diane Clark, Family Resource Specialist

Diane Clark, Family Resource Specialist

​Diane spent many years working in the newspaper industry, then went on to own and operate a small motel and helped her husband manage his Marine Canvas & Sail business. She also took care of her mother who passed away a few years ago from Alzheimer’s disease. Diane reached a time in her life where her work needed to be more meaningful and helping seniors was what she wanted to do. She joined the Home Instead family in 2013 and spends her day as Family Resource Specialist helping families arrange care for their loved one so they can remain safe at home.   ​


Karen Colberg, RN

Karen Colberg, RN

​Karen came to Home Instead with decades of nursing experience.  She has enjoyed her career in a variety of settings including hospital, home care, schools and clinics.  She says she has now found her "forever home" with Home Instead.  She has first-hand knowledge of the challenges that face the "middle generation".  As a daughter, mother and grandmother she brings warmth and understanding to our clients and their families.  She has utmost respect and admiration for the elderly population and truly believes in assisting them to age with dignity, to stay safely in the comfort of their own homes whenever possible.

Cynthia (Cindy) joins our Home Instead team with over 20 years of nursing experience in several settings including LTC, assisted living, Hospice and homecare.  Having great respect for our senior population, Cindy feels priveledged to be a part of their care.


Crystal Dube, Front Desk Receptionist

Crystal Dube, Front Desk Receptionist

Crystal became a part of the Home Instead team in 2015, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant before taking another step in her career path to join the office staff as Front Desk Receptionist.  Prior to working with Home Instead, She has worked as an office manager, medical records manager as well as working in accounting and in a group home with children.  Outside of work, Crystal enjoys spending her time with her two children.


Lauren George, Training Coordinator

Lauren George, Training Coordinator

​Lauren joined the Home Instead team in May of 2018. Lauren received her Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of New Orleans and a Masters of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She has a background in higher education as an Adult Basic Education instructor, where she saw first hand how improving one person's life can improve a whole family. As a military spouse, Lauren understands the unique needs of families separated by geography and fluctuating circumstances. Lauren is grateful to be a part of the caring and supportive team at Home Instead, and excited to share her teaching experience and passion for helping others to improve the lives of seniors and their families. 


Kristen Grosso, Decision Support Specialist

Kristen Grosso, Decision Support Specialist Kristen joined the Home Instead team in 2013, beginning her journey as a part-time receptionist.  After working in several departments including billing, payroll and engagement, she began 2018 in her role as Decision Support Specialist.  Kristen works with all departments to better understand and streamline day to day processes as well as assisting CAREGivers with their technology questions and concerns.  Her favorite parts of the job are working on the franchise's internal CAREGiver website and designing flyers, manuals and other materials for the office.

Lauren Heywood, Service Coordinator Manager

Lauren Heywood, Service Coordinator Manager

​Lauren joined Home Instead as a Certified Nursing Assistant, having previously worked in corporate as a manager of two crucial departments for several years. She has always been the "care taker" in her family. Lauren was able to honor her grandfather's wish to stay at home and not be placed into a facility by being his caregiver. As a mother, daughter and granddaughter she brings compassion and understanding of the needs of our clients and their families as well as gratitude to the caregivers and certified nursing assistants. ​

Joining our team as a Receptionist in July 2016, Tara had previously worked in childcare and as a Nanny for over ten years.  From her time as a Nanny she brings compassion, positive energy, and the joy of encouraging others to Home Instead. 


Priscilla Luckhardt, Client Care Manager

Priscilla Luckhardt, Client Care Manager

Priscilla joined the Home Instead team in 2010 after many years in account/project management. She has a Master of Arts in Education. As Client Care Manager, she and her team meets with families to Identify needs and develop a care plan, visit clients to ensure their satisfaction and works with our CAREGivers to provide solutions to the unique challenges that each of our seniors faces. Having a parent with dementia, she has walked in the shoes of many of our clients' families, and strives to bring compassion and understanding to her role.


Paula Leep, Billing and Payroll Specialist

Paula Leep, Billing and Payroll Specialist

Paula  is a CCRI graduate with an Associate in Business Administration and Accounting.  She comes to Home Instead with 22 years experience in business/accounting in the Home Care industry and has always found the work interesting and rewarding.  Paula is excited to begin her next chapter in her life at Home Instead.

Dianne joined the Home Instead team in 2016 as a CAREGiver and recently moved to office staff as our Front Desk Receptionist along with Chelsleigh.  Prior to being a CAREGiver, Dianne worked as a caregiver and Activity Assistant at a senior living community and in various administrative roles for over 30 years.  In addition, she cared for her mother at home for 5 years as well as helping with the care of other family members during the end stages of their lives.  Her personal experiences showed Dianne the importance of services that enable clients to stay home and she strives to continue supporting clients and families in need.

Samantha Pace, Service Coordinator

​Samantha became a CNA in 2016 and has previously worked with adults and children with disabilities.  She joined the Home Instead team as a CNA in 2017 and now works in office as a Service Coordinator, assisting clients and CAREGivers with their schedule changes, concerns and questions.  Samantha is passionate about helping seniors remain independent in their own home.

​Barbara joined the Home Instead team in 2015, and brings a passion for our mission and values through her role as CAREGiver Engagement Manager. Prior to joining the Home Instead team, she worked for many years managing group homes and as a corporate trainer. Barbara enjoys the process of interviewing potential employees and guiding them through their journey to embracing their role as a CAREGiver, knowing that they are making the difference in the lives of our seniors. She is daily in awe of the great work that is done at Home Instead by the quiet work of many dedicated individuals. She is grateful to have a job surrounded by wonderful people with a shared commitment to enhance the lives of seniors.


Jennifer Rowlett, Home Care Consultant

Jennifer Rowlett, Home Care Consultant

​Jennifer joined the Home Instead team in January 2015 and brings a high level of enthusiasm to her role as Home Care Consultant.  She recieved her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Keene State College and is fascinated with the biology of the brain and how it relates to the aging process.  Jennifer worked for ten years in the field of property management during which time, she leased and managed several apartment communities throughout Rhode Island.  She took great pride in ensuring safe and comfortable homes in which senior citizens and their family members found serenity and peace of mind.  Jennifer is thrilled to bring her years of experience in sales, marketing and customer service to her new role.  She is continuously impressed by the positive and supportive culture which she encounters every day in her interactions with other Home Instead employees.  Through our Referral Provider Network, Jennifer is delighted to have the opportunity to impact the lives of seniors and their loved ones throughout the community.​


Ann Sasso, Engagement Coordinator

Ann Sasso, Engagement Coordinator

​After spending many years in a corporate position, Ann decided to follow her passion by supporting the elders in our community.  She started as a CAREGiver with Home Instead and transitioned into the role of Engagement Coordinator in the Human Resources Department.  Ann's experience includes working in the health insurance industry, in healthcare as a CNA, in a local hospital and finally in the financial industry.  Working in a role that makes a difference in the lives of others is the most rewarding position she has been in for many years.


Kharissa Wilson, Service Coordinator

Kharissa Wilson, Service Coordinator

​Kharissa became a CNA in 2003 and has worked in nursing homes and home care throughout her career.  She is a natural born helper and gets fulfillment in life by caring for others.  Kharissa joins the Home Instead team after working as a Life Skills Specialist for adults living with traumatic brain injuries for 10 years.  She is happy to work for a company that allows seniors to stay in their home and sustain their independence.


Weekend On-call Supervisors

​Home Instead On-call Supervisors handle all client, CAREGiver and inquiry calls after 5pm weekdays and on weekends. Home Instead provides service 24 hours/7 days a week. Our clients and CAREGivers know we are only a phone call away from immediately responding to any crises and have told us many times how confident they are in our ability to respond with good judgment and calming assistance in any situation that arises after hours. To us, it's personal. Knowing we are counted on at any given moment to offer help is a responsibilty of which we all are proud. It assures us that we are "changing the face of aging."
