Bonnie Thommarson, co-owner with her husband David, wears many hats at Home Instead Senior Care. She comes from an admin, disease management and teaching background.
Trained through the Alzheimer's Association's Train the Trainer Program and the Alzheimer's Support Group Facilitator program along with the CARE (Changing Aging through Research and Education curriculum) of Home Instead Senior Care, Inc., Bonnie has grown with a passion to teach and lead others to interact with seniors, especially those with dementia, in a way to make a big difference in the quality of their life during such a challenging time.She looks forward to providing family care giver workshops to assist families in meeting the needs of their loved ones this fall. Bonnie seeks out the best CAREGivers to be found, trained, and matched with just the right client who needs assistance from a CAREGiver willing to provide, personal care, safety, security and friendship and a time of respite for families.She says, "My job is hard, but I love what we are doing in making a difference in the lives of the elderly in Durham".
Jonathan comes to us from a background in IT Asset Management and Logistics. He has a degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business. He has worked the last 7 years in the public sector and is now ready for a change of pace. He has a passion for helping those in need. He tackles a variety of duties around the office and looks forward to gaining more knowledge of Home Instead Senior Care over the coming years.
Vanessa joined Home Instead Senior Care in February 2012. She brings over 30 plus years of experience in Human Resources and office work.
Currently she works as the Office Manager helping with a variety of duties around the office. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
