One of our clients, Mary Dee from Superior, WI, loves gardening - it's one of her favorite ways to stay active in the summer. But as she's aged, she has found it quite difficult to keep it up. That's when one of her Home Instead CAREGivers had an idea - creating a small raised vegetable garden that Mary Dee would be able to have a hand in maintaining! The garden is accessible to Mary Dee with green support posts to use as hand-holds, and raised sideboards to sit on for weeding and picking vegetables. The raised garden kept her just as active as previous summers, and her CAREGivers enjoyed helping her with the garden throughout the season.
