That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Jeff Sewell - Owner

Jeff Sewell - Owner

Jeff joined the Home Instead team with a vision to provide services to seniors who wish to maintain their independence. "Our Home Instead office has been serving the Indianapolis market for over 20 years. We are proud of the strong reputation our CAREGivers have built and will continue to uphold this status," said Jeff. 

Prior to Home Instead, Jeff managed several corporations in multiple areas. However, senior care is where his true passion lies. "When we work with a family and develop a plan of care tailored to their needs, the sense of relief on their face is more than enough satisfaction. It is very rewarding to help families find solutions."

Attending Purdue University, Jeff received a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He grew up in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Jeff enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his wife and three children. 


Duane Sinn - Owner

Duane Sinn - Owner

Drawing from his own family experiences, Duane has a passion for working with the elderly and allowing them to remain in their comfort zone. He understands the importance of living in one's home and believes all seniors should be given this opportunity. Since joining the company, Duane has helped raise awareness for seniors and the risks of living alone. 

Home Instead's CAREGivers are near and dear to Duane's heart. "The service level our CAREGivers provide allows our clients and their families to feel secure in selecting Home Instead," Duane states. "We truly have an amazing group of dedicated CAREGivers who are changing the lives of our clients every day by providing the assistance they need."​​


Jackie Dunlap - Client Services Coordinator

Jackie Dunlap - Client Services Coordinator

​From a young age, Jackie knew she wanted to care for seniors. From visiting individuals in hospitals to singing carols at nursing homes, senior care truly was her passion. As Client Care Coordinator, she works with clients and their families to assure the best level of care is received through routine home checkups and telephone inquiries. Prior to Home Instead, Jackie worked as a certified nursing assistant in various nursing facilities throughout Indianapolis focusing mainly on care for Alzheimer's and dementia patients.

Jackie states," I love being active with families and providing them with solutions, I love making a difference in the lives of seniors and I love working with clients to help maintain their lifestyle at home. Home is where your heart is!"​​


Penny Stamps - Client Care Coordinator

Penny Stamps - Client Care Coordinator

As Client Care Coordinator, Penny works directly with clients and their families to assure the best level of care is received through routine home visits. Penny has a vast understanding of those wanting to Age in Place and remain and be cared for in their own home. She brings years of experience of caring and has even worked as a Home Instead CAREGiver. Penny received her CNA license in 2008 and has experience in both facility and home care. She is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist.

She is a mom of two young men and enjoys time spent with friends, reading, sharing time with her boyfriend watching out door movies, winemaking, gardening and cooking together.


Rick Porten - VP of Client Services

Rick Porten - VP of Client Services

Rick provides a strong background and expertise that provides our clients the security and trust they need when selecting an agency to care for a family member. He has a strong background working with professionals and clients.

He originally discovered the value of home care at a very personal level. He says, “I  knew the significance of finding the highest-quality care for a loved one while assisting a family member to stay in the comfort of their home.” 

Rick and his wife live in Indianapolis and are very active in the community.

Annette Smith - Services Coordinator Assistant

Annette Smith - Services Coordinator Assistant

Annette, brings her past experience of being a CAREGiver for Home Instead to the front office. Her energetic, lively personality supported by strong beliefs and values make her an instrumental part of our team. Her journey to becoming successful at Home Instead is to provide excellent service and support to our CAREGivers, clients and their families. Important factors to Annette are, trust, integrity, love and compassion.

Mayra Giron - Human Resources Manager

Mayra Giron - Human Resources Manager

Mayra's experience in human resources and her many years of home care experience, allows her the knowledge to select only the best CAREGivers. Her focus includes talent management, organizational development, training and development coaching, and quality​ improvements. She has additional experience in the legal industry, but found home care was her calling as it provides the satisfaction of caring for those in need of the comfort of their own home.
