Caregiver

What will you do as a Caregiver?

  • Provide companionship and conversation.
  • Shopping, errands, and appointments.
  • Light housekeeping and meal prep.
  • Administer medications and provide hands-on assistance with personal care such as grooming, bathing, toileting and incontinence.
  • Memory care

What do you need to be a Caregiver?

  • Caregiving experience (personal or professional), including hands-on personal care
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a valid Oregon driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
  • Pass a background check, DMV check and drug screen (including Marijuana)

is looking for a caring and compassionate person to become a part of our team!

Our Mission:
To enhance the lives of aging adults throughout our community
and provide a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their home
and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

Home Instead Senior Care is an agency that provides in-home care to seniors in Marion and Polk counties. We are seeking a Client Care Coordinator to become part of our Care Team. This position is 40 hours/week and includes time in the field meeting with clients and assessing their care needs. 


Overview :
  • This position is expected to perform a variety of duties in client services.
  • This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in regard to the significant matters of developing relationships with our clients and their representatives and maintaining ongoing billable services for our senior clients.
 
Objectives:
  • Be able to perform a variety of duties in the area of client services.
  • Initiate interest and make contact with people in the community. 
  • Be able to field questions, educate, and walk someone through the process of becoming a client, beginning to end.
  • Communicate well with other staff members to coordinate the setup and on-going flow of updated information regarding potential and current clients in order to provide the highest quality service.
 
Requirements:
  • At least one year of Customer Service.
  • A heart for seniors.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Quick learner.
  • Detailed.
  • Good Communicator.
  • Excellent documentation.
  • Team player.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reflect the core values of ABS Home Care, Inc., dba Home Instead Senior Care
  • Communicate clearly and concisely the purpose of in-home care, and be able to easily convey the services and scope of this agency
  • Handle initial and follow-up inquiry calls via phone or email, when available in the office
  • Convert inquiries into a home visit (Care Consultation)
  • Document all details regarding inquiries into the software system
  • Meet or exceed targeted closing rate for both inquiries and Care Consultations
  • Conduct Care Consultations, assess a person's needs, and sign up with services
  • Communicate clients' request for services to office staff, especially scheduler
  • Enter new client data and be able to compile initial paperwork
  • Know about long term care insurance and how it works to be in a position to advise clients on this topic during care consultations
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in Clear Care
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all clients through monitoring visits, phone calls, cards, and specials events
  • Conduct client monitoring visits in person or by phone on regular pre-determined (announced or unannounced) intervals, according to the Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), or based on their level or type of care, as deemed necessary
  • Keep clients' families and/or representatives updated by phone, email, or mail
  • Address client concerns
  • Send an overview of monitoring visits to office staff and document all updated notes/paperwork in software and hard files
  • Communicate client concerns to office and CGs
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owners, colleagues, and CAREGivers
  • Perform on-call duties after normal business hours, when needed
  • Assist as a backup for weekend care consultations in urgent cases. These care consultations will be scheduled at the discretion of the Director of Client Care.
  • Other duties as assigned
