What will you do as a Caregiver?

  • Provide companionship and conversation.
  • Shopping, errands, and appointments.
  • Light housekeeping and meal prep.
  • Administer medications and provide hands-on assistance with personal care such as grooming, bathing, toileting and incontinence.
  • Memory care

What do you need to be a Caregiver?

  • Caregiving experience (personal or professional), including hands-on personal care
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a valid Oregon driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
  • Pass a background check, DMV check and drug screen (including Marijuana)

Recruitment Coordinator

is looking for a full-time, qualified Recruitment Coordinator
who is organized, can multi-task, and is a team player.


Our Mission:
To enhance the lives of aging adults throughout our community

and provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home
and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
 


Home Instead Senior Care is a non-medical in-home care provider of services such as Companionship, Housekeeping, Personal Care, Advanced Care and Medication Administration. Our CAREGivers are exceptional people with compassionate hearts. The Recruitment Coordinator is expected to recruit, screen, hire, and assist in engaging a staff of CAREGivers to provide the highest quality service to our clients. Another important aspect of this position is taking calls from potential clients and explaining our services which could lead to a home visit assisting them in becoming a client.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement new recruitment strategies online and within the community.
• Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner. 
• Conduct reference checks, criminal background and motor vehicle check and drug screens on all CAREGivers.
• Create and maintain all employment records, including, but not limited to I-9 forms
• Work in partnership with the Scheduling Department to coordinate CAREGiver schedules 
• Monitor, mediate, and log all client and CAREGiver activity 
• Monitor compliance for local and federal labor and safety laws 
• Take Service Inquiries and set up Home Care Consultations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High school graduation or the equivalent 
• One year of related business HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
• Experience in the interview and hiring process
• Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively 
• Have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines 
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry
• Have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work 
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor
• Have computer skills and be proficient in Excel and Word
• Have the ability to work as a part of a team
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
