That's why our team stands ready to serve you any day of the week, at any hour of the day or night. Buffy Johnson, Franchise Owner, has a passionate desire to work with seniors in the community.  The office support staff has also been carefully selected for their commitment to the mission of the company, and their desire to serve clients in maintaining independence with dignity and safety.  When you need assistance for yourself or a loved one, our caring staff is on-call 24/7 to address your concerns, answer your questions and provide prompt service.​

Buffy Johnson – Franchise Owner

​Buffy Johnson, Franchise Owner and Manager, purchased the Las Cruces Home Instead office in June 2016. She will continue to provide the community with the quality and compassion that the previous owners initiated. Buffy is the hands-on, go-to person in Las Cruces.  Buffy, who has a Bachelor's Degree in Health Professions and Health Administration, was a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 24 years.  The past 10 years were spent as a Regional Vice President of Operations for several Long Term Care corporations. Along with her passion for providing quality care to seniors, she is also excited to get involved with the Las Cruces community and be an active and involved resident here.  


Dona Martinez – Client Care Manager

Dona Martinez – Client Care Manager

Home Instead Senior Care's clients quickly become acquainted with Dona. Dona comes to us with a lot of experience and pays great attention to detail.  Before Dona became the Client Care Manager she was a CAREGiver and the Staffing Manager.  She is able to keep an open line of communication with clients, client's families, and CAREGivers.  Dona is very dedicated to making sure that clients' needs are met and they are happy with services. 


Valerie Catalan – CAREGiver Development & Training Coordinator

Valerie Catalan – CAREGiver Development & Training Coordinator Valerie's mission is to find, screen, hire, train, grow, and retain our professional team of CAREGivers. She performs thorough interviews, reference checks, and criminal background screenings on each potential CAREGiver.  In addition, she facilitates an extensive training program for our CAREGivers. Valerie is focused to ensure that our high standards are met with every applicant, in addition to many other roles here at Home Instead Senior Care.

Johnice Trejo – Staffing Manager

Johnice Trejo – Staffing Manager

​Johnice fills a key role regarding Staffing our clients and CAREGivers. As a Home Instead Senior Care client or CAREGiver you will soon become acquainted with Johnice by telephone and email. Anytime you need to change your service schedule Johnice will assist you. She is also a big part in our Billing and Invoicing she will be able to assist with any questions in that department. Johnice does have the goal of placing professional and well matched CAREGiver in the client's home, with her dedication and very patient demeanor makes her an excellent choice for our Staffing Manager.
