Val Megargel - Franchise Owner

Val and her husband Bob opened the Bellevue Home Instead Senior Care office in 1996. They had known Paul and Lori Hogan, the founders of Home Instead Senior Care, for a number of years and were both excited to be apart of the Home Instead family. Being one of the first twenty Home Instead Senior Care offices in the country was a leap of faith and it has been a very rewarding experience for both of them. Val and Bob have both dealt with CAREGiving issues with our parents, Val's mother suffered with Alzheimer's for ten years and Bob mother died after a lengthy bout with lung cancer. They both realize how hard it can be for seniors and their loved ones as we all age. Val, originally from Bainbridge Island, has lived in the Bellevue area since 1979. She's enjoyed watching Bellevue grow over the years and helping older adults and their loved ones navigate the aging process with dignity and grace. Val was thrilled when her daughter, Lindsey Glubrecht, joined the office in 2006.

Bob Megargel - Franchise Owner

Bob's been pretty involved in the Bellevue community since the late 80's. He's enjoyed coaching little league, youth basketball and soccer while his kids were attending Clyde Hill Elementary and Chinook Middle School. Bob volunteers at the Bellevue Farmer's Market when time permits and is currently serving as a board member of the Bellevue Network on Aging. Bob and Val celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in August 2010 and in March 2011 they celebrated their 15 year anniversary as Home Instead Senior Care franchisees. They are "empty nesters" have two cats Lars and Wendy.

Margaret Tucker- Staff Coordinator

Margaret, who is originally from Scotland, moved from being a CAREGiving to our Staff Coordinator position 1998. She does a fantastic job and has a unique ability to match clients up with just the right CAREGiver. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her horse Chase.

Lindsey Glubrecht - Office Operations

Lindsey has been working at Home Instead Senior Care since 2006. She's a graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in Geography and Global Health and Development Studies. She does a little of everything around the office. Her love for seniors came from helping her grandmother with the crippling effects of Alzheimer's Disease during high school and college. During her free time she enjoys traveling and relaxing with her husband Jesse, and their cats, Gary and Martin.

Christi Mahon - Customer Service Representative

Christi joined the Bellevue staff in the spring of 2009 as a CAREGiver and is currently doing a wonderful job as our director of marketing (CSR) . Her compassion for seniors is easy to spot.

Jessica Bauer - Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Jessica has worked with us for over three years. She's energetic, hardworking and detailed oriented individual that is always up to taking on new responsibilities and challenges at the office. During her free time, she enjoys fishing, camping and jewelry making.
