"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.

A little about Jan: I grew up in Lexington, about a mile from the Home Instead office and have lived here all my life except for my years away at college. I was the Senior Technologist and Special Procedures/Mammography Tech at Thomasville Medical Center for 12 years before joining Lexington Home Brands as their Environmental, Safety, and Health Manager for almost 20 years. My husband is a 12 year cancer survivor wtih a terrific sense of humor! I have a daughter, Amy, and her partner, Pat, who live in Lexington. I have a son, Matthew and wife, Katy, who live in Harrisonburg, VA. I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my first grandchild! I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Fun Fact: Jan once paddled a canoe down the Nantahala River rapids in Western North Carolina. She went over a small waterfall and fell out of the canoe becoming trapped in a whirlpool - which resulted in a heroic rescue! She was smiling all the while, her motto being, "there is no life without laughter."

Some of Teresa's greatest strengths are her compassion to help others, her ability to effectively communicate with others, problem-solving and having an empathetic disposition to clients and CAREGiver's alike.
A little about Teresa: I grew up in Long Island, New York before moving to Lexington, NC. I love to cook as often as I can! One of my biggest passions is animal rescue - especially dogs. I have a few that I just couldn't part with that now have furever homes: Daisy, Daphne and Be-be!

A little about Shannon: I spent the first 18 years of my life trying to get out of this area and the next 10 years trying to get back. I am here to stay! I love the crazy range in NC weather. The people. The community. And being able to get to the mountains and the beach within a reasonable amount of time! I am an avid photographer of girls fast pitch softball and digging holes in my yard; sometimes for plants that live and sometimes not so much.
Fun Fact: Shannon's mom is from Harmony, NC and her dad is from Camden, NJ. That should explain her large personality!
