"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
Shanna's role: Shanna's first experience with Home Instead Senior Care was in 2007 when she worked as the Community Service Representative for a local North Carolina Home Instead office. While working with the seniors in that market, her passion for the industry rapidly grew. When the opportunity presented itself to open an office in the Lexington area in 2008, she knew it was a great chance to share her knowledge of providing care to seniors with the wonderful people in Davidson and Davie Counties. She has since dedicated her career to position Home Instead Senior Care as the trusted home care agency in the area.
A little about Shanna: Being the family member of a Home Instead client, I know how important our care becomes to seniors and their families. This is one reason our office is so commited to making a difference in the lives of seniors in our community. With just a little assistance from one of our wonderful CAREGivers, seniors are able to thrive in their homes for years and years! We pride ourselves on being the experts on senior care so if Home Instead is not the option for you, we encourage you to still give us a call so that we may assist you and your loved ones in finding the right care choice for your needs. We love what we get to do each and every day at Home Instead Senior Care, and for almost 10 years now we have seen so many lives changed by our services. We look forward to hearing from you and working with your family!
Fun Fact: Shanna's love of traveling was instilled early on - she grew up in Switzerland and hasn't stopped traveling the globe since!
What it means to be a Certified Senior Advisor: When you work with a professional who has added the Certified Senior Advisor designation to their credentials, you know you are working with someone who has invested time and effort to learning about the things that are important to you. CSAs become CSAs because they want to learn more about the health, financial and social aspects of being age 55 or older. They have made specific efforts to earn your trust and they have committed to ongoing CSA continuing education standards that encourage volunteering for activities that help seniors and that require regular training in dealing with the issues facing seniors today. Insist on working with a Certified Senior Advisor; work with someone who is committed to you!
Shannon's role: Shannon is our Community Engagement Coordinator. Her role is to share Home Instead Senior Care's message throughout the community. Her goal is to help families and businesses understand the home care services we provide and also coordinate quick, effective and quality care for our senior clients. Shannon's positive outlook is both engaging and contagious! She comes to us with over 20 years of experience in a service driven profession.
A little about Shannon: I spent the first 18 years of my life trying to get out of this area and the next 10 years trying to get back. I am here to stay! I love the crazy range in NC weather. The people. The community. And being able to get to the mountains and the beach within a reasonable amount of time! I am an avid photographer of girls fast pitch softball and digging holes in my yard; sometimes for plants that live and sometimes not so much.
Fun Fact: Shannon's mom is from Harmony, NC and her dad is from Camden, NJ. That should explain her large personality!
Christina's role: Christina is considered the "go to" gal in our office. She coordinates office activities and assists with the payroll and invoicing processes (to name a few duties). A little about Christina: I was born and raised in Lexington, NC. After working 10 years for Davidson County with the Department of Social Services, I decided to transition into a part-time job to spend more time with my children. While I enjoyed this opportunity, I also realized that I needed a purpose outside of the home. That's when I decided it was time to go back to work full-time and found Home Instead Senior Care! I'm married to my husband, Chad, and we have 2 children. I spend my spare time watching our children participate in their many sporting events and activities and spending time with family and friends. We are active members of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville.

A little about Yana: I will always be a Davidson County girl even though I live in Pfafftown, NC. I've been married for almost 30 years to my husband, Gary, and have one wonderful son. A reformed cat lover, I adore our family dog, Bentley. My passions include photography, butterflies, gardening and watching our son play men's softball. I'm so excited to be a part of Home Instead Senior Care and am here to help you however I can!
