 Home Instead Caregiver

A tradition of great caregiving means that we take care of our own as well as we take care you and your family.

We reward our local CAREGivers with CAREGiver of the Month and CAREGiver of the Year awards to show our appreciation for all they do. Home Instead, Inc. also recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

We are thrilled to introduce our outstanding award winning CAREGivers:

March CAREGiver of the Month: Terry

March CAREGiver of the Month: Terry
Congratulations to Terry who has been named March 2015 CAREGiver of the Month. Terry has been known to consistently go above and beyond with her clients. When one of her clients who has dementia increased her hours of care, Terry increased her hours to accommodate her client. She keeps the office well informed on changes in her client. She also utilizes her training to make sure she helps her client stay engaged and doing the things that will help her stay independent as long as possible. Thank you, Terry, for all you do!
Terry was first introduced to Home Instead Senior Care when Home Instead took care of Terry’s mother who had Alzheimer’s. Terry understood the blessing she had in her mother’s caregiver and decided she wanted to be a part of that once she retired from her insurance job.
Terry’s interest are wide and varied. She loves to camp, she loves to visit with friends and family. She is a huge sports fan. She also acts as a taxi cab service for seniors in her apartment building who can’t drive.
When asked about her most rewarding CAREGiving experience, Terry said the first time a client told her she loved her, Terry knew she was making a difference.
Terry has these words of wisdom to other caregivers, “Always try to remember you will be in the client’s shoes someday, so try to treat them like you would like to be treated.”
