Paul Hogan honored by Home Care Association of AmericaHome Instead Senior Care® recently participated in the Home Care Association of America Annual Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. During the conference, HCAOA’s board of directors recognized several individuals for their contributions to the home care industry with a special awards presentation.

During the awards presentations, Home Instead Senior Care Founder and Chairman Paul Hogan was honored with the Sheila McMackin Leadership Award for his exceptional leadership in the home care industry and the Home Care Association of America. Hogan, who founded Home Instead Senior Care with his wife Lori in 1994, has been active with the HCAOA since its inception.

"The contributions through leadership, legislative efforts and caregiving that these individuals have offered the home care community is significant and transformational. Their hard work and efforts have had a substantial impact on the home care industry and our organization. We are thrilled to honor their commitment and important contributions to strengthening the care we all work to provide to our nation’s families," said Phil Bongiorno, executive director of the HCAOA.

HISC Government Affairs Director Michaela Valentin was elected to the HCAOA board of directorsAlso during the meeting, Government Affairs Director Michaela Valentin was elected to the HCAOA board of directors. Prior to her election, Valentin had served on numerous committees for the association.

Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners and home office staff membersIn addition to Hogan and Valentin, many Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners and home office staff members participated in the conference.

HCAOA is a nonprofit organization that provides programs, resources and services to home care agencies across the country, and has a network of more than 1,300 private duty organizations.
