Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is the most common neuro-degenerative disorder in America? According to the Alzheimer's Association, It affects one in 10 people over the age of 65. Nearly everyone is touched by this condition in their lifetime. Maybe your parents or grandparents suffer from this condition. Or maybe it is a spouse, client, co-worker or neighbor.

Here at Home Instead Senior Care in Colorado Springs, we are committed to helping our CAREGivers improve their Alzheimer's knowledge and skills. All of our Alzheimer's and dementia CAREGivers take part in our unique and critically acclaimed training program called CARE: Changing Aging through Research and Education®. We are also recognized as a Leader in Dementa Care by the Alzheimer's Association. These efforts to improve our Alzheimer's care knowledge and skills make us an excellent choice for Alzheimer's care services in Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas such as Monument, CO and Woodland Park, CO.

We all have something to learn or share about Alzheimer’s, as well as other forms of dementia. Join us on Alzheimer’s Learning Day so together we can be better prepared to care for our friends and loved ones.

Whatever time you have available, you can make a difference.

If you only have 5 minutes, you could do one of the following:

  • Pledge in honor of a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia disorder
  • Learn the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease
  • Read an article about Alzheimer's
  • Take an e-learning class

If you can spare 30 minutes, you could do one of the following:

  • Read and share resources
  • Download an Alzheimer’s care app
  • Share Alzheimer’s-Friendly Business® training with a local business
  • Call a family member with Alzheimer’s
  • Share a care tip

If you can dedicate a full hour of your day, you could do one of the following:

  • Attend an Alzheimer’s Learning Day webinar
  • Visit a loved one living with Alzheimer’s
  • Find a local family caregiver training workshop
  • Complete an e-learning course
  • Join or watch a live online chat

Take the pledge and receive the information you’ll need to participate in Alzheimer’s Learning Day. We’ll make it easy for you to learn, educate, and share on September 21!
