Dominique joined Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver in 2006. Her business savvy and big heart made her an ideal candidate for our Recruitment Retention Coordinator position- which she assumed in July 2011. Dominique's degree in Early Childhood Education was coupled with five year's experience directing child care centers. Her love for children and seniors both make a career with Home Instead the perfect fit. Dominique is a long time Salisbury resident with two children who are the center of her life. -
Maxine joined HISC in 2006 as the first CAREGiver for the Salisbury office. She soon added more duties, including office administrator, staffing coordinator, human resources, client care coordinator, recruiting and training. She has been the lead instructor for the Alzheimer's training program. She now manages the office in Salisbury and Concord responsible for all administration. She was a cardiology tech for 18 years in a hospital in MD. She enjoys writing and has authored a children's book, "Sheldon's Adventures In Heaven". She has two daughters and 6 grandchildren. She loves that HISC is a business of the heart-where caring is everything.
Lou Dorton Shue, RN, BSN, MS joined Home Instead Senior Care in June of 2010. She has 30 years of experience in the nursing field. Most of her experience has been in nursing education with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She enjoys her work with HISC, especially working with the CAREGivers. Lou and her husband Zeb have two children in college. Lou enjoys tennis, bowling, and playing golf.
Teresa Dakins joined HISC in Concord as a CAREGiver in February of 2007. She joined the office staff in Concord as Staffing Coordinator in 2008, and then transitioned into her current role as our Community Service Representative in 2014. She also helps with the on-call phones in the evening and weekends for Concord and Salisbury offices. She has been married for 20 years to Mike and they have one daughter, Megan who is going to college and plays softball. Teresa loves to be able to go and watch her daughter Megan play softball. She also enjoys Sunday night dinners with her family.
