The Home Instead Senior Care Omaha Team

Your Home Instead Senior Care team in Omaha possesses a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in the community. It is our ultimate goal to forge extraordinary relationships between our clients and their CAREGivers.

General Manager

April is the general manager for Paul and Lori Hogan’s Omaha, Nebraska, office. April has spent most of her career in customer service, first at PayPal and most recently as senior director of customer operations for LinkedIn. April also has published two books, “Gratitude at Work” and “Spaghetti on the Wall.” April chose Home Instead because she worked with seniors in a volunteer capacity for years and wants to make a career out of her passion. Outside of work, April enjoys writing, painting, traveling, walking, yoga and football.

Denise Christiansen

Human Resources Manager

Denise joined Home Instead in March of 2017 as the Human Resources Manager. She has over 27 years of HR experience in many different industries and is passionate about building relationships with people. Denise is responsible for managing the the HR functions as well as our CAREGivers and assist with recruiting and onboarding

Denise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, camping, dancing and watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers!

Lisa Crynes

Client Care Manager

Lisa joined Home Instead in June of 2014 as a Client Care Coordinator. She transitioned to Retention but is now back as the Client Care Manager ensuring our clients are receiving the care they need.

Lisa worked in the property management business for 17 years and says she enjoyed managing the 55 and older communities the most. She loves to travel and says she has always felt a calling to work with seniors.

Stephanie Thompson

Service/Billing Manager

Stephanie started her career with Home Instead Senior Care in March of 2007. As the Service/Billing Manager, Stephanie is responsible for billing and payroll. Stephanie has a passion for finance and helping other people. Her love for her job and Home Instead shined though when in 2012 she was awarded Employee of the Year.
 
Outside of work, Stephanie spends her free time caring for her 3 children, Cammiren, Caleb and Caden. They enjoy spending time together, along with their dogs Riley and Max.

Mark Flaxbeard

Client Care Coordinator

Mark started with Home Instead Senior Care in June of 2011 as a CAREGiver and became the Retention and Training Coordinator in May 2012, which included supervising and training CAREGivers.  Mark also conducted in-services to further develop CAREGivers and held Alzheimer’s and other Dementia Workshops for family caregivers.  In May 2013, Mark became a Client Care Coordinator. He is passionate about making a difference in seniors’ lives.
 
Mark received a Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Mark lives in Omaha with his wife, JoAnn, and his children. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching baseball.

Client Care Coordinator

Corinne joined Home Instead in January of 2017 as a Client Care Coordinator. She has 26 years of experience in youth services and volunteer management. A personal experience sparked a passion for senior care. She enjoys the opportunity of working with our seniors to make sure they can live their golden years to the fullest!

Corinne is married with 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at church and school, and being a soccer mom.

Jody joined Home Instead in April of 2017 as a Client Care Coordinator. She has 20 years of experience in the corporate world, but a passion for serving and seniors brought her to Home Instead. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and their families to ensure they recieve the best care!

Jody is married with 3 kids and recently moved from Sioux Falls, SD. She enjoys being involved in church activites, spending time with family, and traveling.

Ambassador of First Impressions

Cherith joined Home Instead in September of 2013 as the Administrative Assistant. In this role, Cherith was responsible for answering phones, greeting guests and assisting all departments with various projects.  In May 2016, she transitioned to Lead Service Coordinator and then to Ambassador of First Impressions in March of 2017. Her favorite part of her job is talking with clients and CAREGivers.
 
Cherith was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. She is currently in the process of transferring to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to major in Marketing. Family and friends are very important to her and she loves anything that has to do with sports or the Huskers!

Dee Dee Elkins

After Hours Coordinator
 
Dee Dee joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2013.  She coordinates with the Service Coordinators and Care Coordinators, to maintain good communication between clients, CAREGivers and families while the office is closed.​​
 
Dee Dee worked as a nurse for 30 years in geriatrics and loves working with seniors. She received her RN degree in Kansas City, but moved to Omaha to be closer to family. She has one son, two dogs and one cat. In her spare time, she loves crafts, baking and family and friends.
