The Home Instead Senior Care Omaha Team

Your Home Instead Senior Care team in Omaha possesses a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in the community. It is our ultimate goal to forge extraordinary relationships between our clients and their CAREGivers.

When you or an elderly loved one is ready for help, our caring staff is on call to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Tim Shanahan - General Manager

Tim Shanahan - General Manager

Tim Shanahan began his career at Home Instead Senior Care Global Headquarters in 2012 as a business performance coach. Beginning with his own grandparents, he has always respected and admired older adults.

Before Home Instead, Tim served in the United States Marine Corps and comes from a long line of military volunteers. His military background has established a deep commitment to serving people and is a driving force in his dedication to clients we serve.

"Whether directly or indirectly, I want to help those that call on us in any way possible. Everyone deserves to age with dignity and respect, and we take that very personally and seriously," says Tim.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, being involved in their local church, and talking sports and cars with just about anyone who will listen.  


Michele Hedrick - Office Coordinator

Michele Hedrick - Office Coordinator

Michele joined Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2015 then transitioned to Office Coordinator in 2018. She is the first voice you hear when you call our office! She comes to Home Instead with several years of experience in merchandise sales and as a teaching assistant at her church.

Michele and her late husband, Brian, have 2 children. She enjoys cheering on the Huskers in football and volleyball, spending time with family, and volunteering at her parish. 


Corinne Anderson - Client Care Manager

Corinne Anderson - Client Care Manager

Corinne joined Home Instead in 2017. She has 25 years of experience in youth services and volunteer management through Girl Scouts of the USA. Corinne's personal experiences caring for her own father led her to Home Instead. Corinne has a passion for helping seniors and their families navigate the aging process with dignity and respect.

Corinne and her husband, Rex, have 3 children and 1 fur baby, Princess. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and volunteering at her church and children's high school.


Mark Flaxbeard - Client Care Coordinator

Mark Flaxbeard - Client Care Coordinator

Mark joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2011 as a CAREGiver after a career in business. The seniors Mark worked with had varying forms / degrees of dementia, which grounded Mark in his desire to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors and families. Since starting at Home Instead Senior Care as CAREGiver, Mark has worked as a Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator and a Client Care Coordinator. Mark also enjoys onboarding new CAREGivers as a Trainer. "I have always enjoyed meeting and working with seniors my whole life. I love listening to their stories and learning from their wisdom!"

Mark and his wife, JoAnn, are originally from Omaha. They have 4  grown children and 1 grandson. Mark enjoys watching Nebraska Football, Creighton Basketball.  Spending time with his family is very important and especially looks forward to Sunday family dinners.  


Jody Gannon - Client Care Coordinator

Jody Gannon - Client Care Coordinator

Jody joined Home Instead in 2017. She comes from 20 years of experience in the corporate world, but her passion for serving others brought her to Home Instead. Jody's clients are an extended part of her family. She builds lasting relationships with them and is there for them every step of the way.

Jody is married with 3 kids and lived in South Dakota prior to working with Home Instead Omaha. In her free time, she enjoys being involved in church activities, spending time with family, and traveling.


Carol Speckmann - Client Care Coordinator

Carol Speckmann - Client Care Coordinator

Carol joined Home Instead in 2017. After working as a part time manager in retail while raising her four children, she was looking for something more rewarding.  Carol's dedication to her clients is unmatched. She takes the time to get to know them and their families, in order to provide them with the best care possible.

In her free time, Carol enjoys spending time with family and friends.  In the fall and winter, she enjoys Husker football and Creighton basketball.  In the summer, you'll find her by the pool.    


Roxanne Mason - Human Resources Manager

Roxanne Mason - Human Resources Manager

Roxanne joined Home Instead in 2019. She graduated from Bellevue University with my bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and has 18 years of experience primarily in the restaurant industry. Roxanne has a deep passion for helping others grow personally and professionally. The success and happiness of our employees are always top of mind for Roxanne.

Roxanne has 1 daughter, who keeps her busy with show choir concerts and extra-curricular activities. She enjoys volunteering at her church and getting coffee with friends.


Skylar Roberts - Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Skylar Roberts - Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Skylar joined Home Instead in 2020. She recently graduated with her bachelor's in business administration from Wayne State College. Skylar worked as a medication aid in college with mentally disabled individuals. This experience fuels her desire to hire amazing CAREGivers.

Skylar is originally from Chadron, NE. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, friends, and knitting. 


Laura Liebentritt - Training Coordinator

Laura Liebentritt - Training Coordinator

Laura joined Home Instead in 2019 as a CAREGiver and soon after became the Training Coordinator. Laura has 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, primarily working in senior facilities. Laura coordinates and teaches world class education to our staff through in-person and online classes. Her classes help our CAREGivers provide quality care to our clients.

Laura and her husband, Kim, have 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking, watching sporting activities, and being outdoors.


Shandra Wilkins - Home Care Consultant

Shandra Wilkins - Home Care Consultant

Shandra Wilkins joined Home Instead in 2019. She has over 26 years of experience in healthcare.  Her many years of experience both professionally and personally give her a broad background in senior healthcare. She has worked closely with hundreds of seniors, families and healthcare professional to help aging adult successful age in place.

Shandra and her husband have four adult children and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling. 


Erin Bauer - Marketing Coordinator

Erin Bauer - Marketing Coordinator

Erin joined Home Instead in 2018. Erin has always had a special relationship with her grandparents which is what makes Home Instead personal to her. She started as the HR Coordinator and recently transitioned to Marketing Coordinator, in order to utilize her Marketing degree that she received from the University of South Dakota.

Erin is originally from Omaha. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her cat, Socks.



Nancy Meier - Service Manager

Nancy Meier - Service Manager

Nancy joined Home Instead in 2018. She has 20 years of Human Resource experience. As Service Manager she oversees the Service Coordinators, billing, payroll, and conducts Alzheimer's training for the franchise. Nancy has used Home Instead services for her own family. She has a great understanding of the difference a CAREGiver can make in someone's life.

Nancy and her husband, Ken, have two children who keep them busy. They love spending time with family and friends and are avid Husker fans!


Lydia Bender - Service Coordinator

Lydia Bender - Service Coordinator

Lydia joined Home Instead in 2018 as a CAREGiver and recently transitioned to Service Coordinator. Lydia has 12 years of experience in the field of human services, primarily with individuals with disabilities. She is extremely passionate about helping others which shows in her work. She is responsible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers.

Lydia and her husband, Dracy, have 3 children. She enjoys cooking, baking, playing with makeup, and movie and game nights with her family.


Alysia Galvan - Service Coordinator

Alysia Galvan - Service Coordinator

Alysia joined Home Instead in 2019. She has 5 years of experience with in-home and facility care. Alysia's passion for helping others came from her great grandmother. She is the reason Alysia chose to pursue healthcare. Alysia is responsible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers.

Alysia has 2 beautiful children. In her free time, she enjoys making traditional Mexican food with her family.


Kevin Deremer - Weekend Service Coordinator

Kevin Deremer - Weekend Service Coordinator

Kevin joined Home Instead in 2018 as a CAREGiver. He continues to CAREGive during the week and is a Service Coordinator on the weekends. He has 25 of experience as an Athletic Trainer. He is responsible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers on the weekends.

Kevin and his wife, Roberta, have 2 children and a newly born granddaughter! When the weather is warm, Kevin enjoys going golfing. 


Lindsey Bell - Weekend Service Coordinator

Lindsey Bell - Weekend Service Coordinator

Lindsey joined Home Instead in 2019 as a CAREGiver. She continues to CAREGive during the week and is a Service Coordinator on the weekends. She is responsible for scheduling clients and CAREGivers on the weekends.

Lindsey and her husband, Alex, stay busy with their almost 2-year-old. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.



Teaya Vandenhoek - On-Call Coordinator

Teaya Vandenhoek - On-Call Coordinator

Teaya joined Home Instead in 2019 as a CAREGiver and continues to CAREGive while being on-call overnights. She is currently a nursing student at Creighton University and will graduated in 2021!

Teaya is originally from Mitchell, South Dakota. She enjoys watching movies, hang out with friends, and trying new restaurants.


Haley Smith - On-Call Coordinator

Haley Smith - On-Call Coordinator

​Haley joined Home Instead in 2019. She works full-time in healthcare during the day and is on-call overnights. She has 5 years of experience in the field.

Haley and her husband, Eddie, have 5 children. When she has free time, she watches true crime movies.


Cindi Ramaeker - Administrative Assistant

Cindi Ramaeker - Administrative Assistant

Cindi joined Home Instead in 2011, first working at the global headquarters, and now works part-time in the Omaha franchise office. She has 30+ years of experience in the corporate world and enjoys working for a company with a strong mission of helping others. 


Cindi is originally from Carlisle, IA. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, boating, holding babies in the NICU at Children’s Hospital, watching Hallmark movies, and exploring new wineries. In the summer, you’ll find her and her husband, Tom, at their favorite lake ~ Table Rock Lake in southern MO.
