Clarksville August 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Rachelle M.
Meet Rachelle M., the August Professional CAREGiver of the Month for Clarksville! Rachelle comes to us from California, where she was an independent caregiver for five years. She moved to Tennessee seven months ago to be closer to her sister and has been with Home Instead six of those months. She says she likes how green Tennessee is and wants to find a house here.
Rachelle manages about eight clients now and even has some 24-hour shifts. She loves what she does and doesn’t really consider it work. She says, “If you find something that interests you, do as much research as you can before you commit.” She still does her own research into what it takes to be a good caregiver and various treatments or tips that may help her clients. When she is not working, Rachelle enjoys travelling and takes monthly trips to Georgia to see another sister. She’s in the process of planning a Washington D.C. trip when things settle down with the pandemic. She also enjoys cooking all types of food, eating chocolate, and watching Marvel movies or “Lord of the Rings”.
Rachelle’s supervisor says, “Rachelle was chosen because she always goes above and beyond to ensure our clients are receiving the best services possible. She goes in with an upbeat attitude, always with a smile.” We are certainly glad Rachelle chose to further her career with us and we hope she stays with Home Instead for many years to come!
