Home Instead Celebrates 20 Years of Home Care in Twin Ports, MN!

This year, Home Instead of Duluth, MN is celebrating our 20th anniversary. We have provided home care to many wonderful clients and worked with some top-tier caregivers. As we reflect on our journey we are filled with gratitude and appreciation.

We are incredibly thankful for each person who has supported our mission of providing the best home care in Duluth and surrounding Twin Ports communities. Our dedicated team of Care Professionals, kind and endearing clients (and their families), and supportive community partners have been the heart and soul of our success. Together, we've shared moments of joy, faced challenges with resilience, and built lasting relationships that extend far beyond the realm of caregiving.

Alongside the incredible 20th anniversary celebration, we also had the honor of recognizing several employee milestones during our team lunch:

Char Johnson is celebrating her second anniversary with us. She has worked in various roles at our office, including as our Office Manager, Caregiver, and Dementia Trainer. Her experience in Geriatric Care and Administration is invaluable to our team.

Anne Mercier is another valuable team member at Home Instead She is celebrating her ninth anniversary with us. She started as a bookkeeper in February 2015 but evolved into an all-around office expert. Anne is our go-to person for technology troubleshooting and coordinates many things on behalf of our company. We are grateful to have her!

Laura Kalm has rejoined our office team as our R.N. on a part-time schedule. She previously worked with us in different roles and has extensive nursing management experience in geriatric care. We are thrilled to have her back as our primary R.N. on Comprehensive Client Care plans. Laura recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which is a significant achievement in her successful nursing career. We congratulate her and wish her continued success in nursing!

Joanna (Joey) Iwen is our new team member with sales and marketing experience. She joined us last fall after raising her family. Her positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done make her a great addition to our team. We are excited for Joey to meet our clients and staff in the field and to build a brighter future together.

Mary Andrews has been a member of the Home Instead team for 20 years! In 2004, she opened the Twin Ports office and has since been serving families on both sides of the bridge. Mary actively participates in community events throughout the year and encourages all of us with her bright personality and loving smile.

Congratulations to Mary, Laura, Anne, Joey, and Char. Here's to the next 20 years of serving our Twin Ports communities! Thank you for being a part of our home care story!
