Bowling Green July 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - Hughnell V. & Heather P.
Meet Hughnell and her Professional CAREGiver, Heather, Bowling Green’s Client and Professional CAREGiver Spotlight team for July! Ms. Hughnell owned two apartment buildings before her retirement and worked at Union Underwear (now known as Fruit of the Loom). She was, and remains, an extremely active lady, running marathons into her 70s! Hughnell will be 100 years old in July 2021 and attributes her health to clean living.
When Heather comes, she helps Ms. Hughnell get out of bed and to the bathroom. Hughnell’s son will make breakfast and Heather will do the dishes. Heather also helps her when she has doctor appointments and does grocery lists, medication reminders and helps Hughnell take walks. Kenny, Hughnell’s son, says “Heather, and by proxy, your company, has made my life so much better and easier, as well as my mother’s life. I thank God above that we have Heather and your company. Getting involved with Home Instead was the best decision I ever made”.
Heather’s supervisor agrees, saying, “Heather came in to sit with Hughnell while she was in the hospital. It was her regularly scheduled day off, but heard of a need and filled in. From that moment on they shared a bond that is unbreakable”. We are certainly glad Heather and Ms. Hughnell “Share Their Hearts” and hope that they have many more years together!
