Hi, this is Evelyn from South Bend, Indiana! She donated 25 afghans this week to Home Instead clients!
She is originally from Germany and explained to me that, “she is blessed” and she is grateful for all that she has. She emigrated to the USA when she was 17 but prior to that lived in Germany under German occupation. On one side it was German-occupied and on the other was USA-occupied and she and her family climbed a wall to get to the USA-occupied side of Germany.
She has a rule in her house that none of her kids and grandkids are allowed to complain because they’ve got it much better than they will ever realize!
