Caring for seniors in their homes. Learn about Home Instead Senior Care.

Derek Wang

Derek Wang is the Chairman of China Chemical & Pharmaceutical Co., Lt (C.C.P.C.); the Home Instead Senior Care Master Franchisee for Taiwan. Anticipating the rapidly aging baby boomers population, CCPC developed Community Health Services Center in 2005. The division is responsible for an innovative home care business model to provide the best home care services for the elderly.

Derek said, "Since entering the Taiwan market, Home Instead's pioneering concept has turned a brand new page in senior care in Taiwan. Home Instead has turned around the public's stagnant concept of senior care and has opened up unlimited possibilities for quality senior living. Quality senior care in Taiwan is no longer a dream but a reality."

He added, "Home Instead provides a choice for families that want to choose. No longer forced to decide between either accommodating a live-in foreign caretaker or relegating the elderly to retirement homes, families now have the availability of unintrusive, non-disrupting assistance on-demand, allowing seniors to continue to enjoy the independent home life that they have been accustomed to living.

Taking into account the reluctance of many Asians to send their elders to retirement homes and the disparity in quality and cost among such facilities, Home Instead provides the ideal solution to this dilemma. The arrival on the Taiwan senior care scene has opened new options, changed expectations and raised demand for quality senior care. It's a win-win situation for all."

"The senior population in Taiwan currently is over 2.3 million, a number that will only increase dramatically in the following decades. Currently, however, Taiwan is still focused mainly on providing medical care to seniors - an approach that does not address their needs for non-medical services such as companionship and help around the home. It is this shortage of non-medical in-home care that prompted C.B.T. to become the International Franchise Partnere for Taiwan. We partnered with Home Instead Senior Care because both of our organizations are totally committed to providing the highest-quality services to clients. We are convinced that working together, C.B.T. and Home Instead Senior Care can become Taiwan's trusted source of non-medical care for seniors."
