Debra Jager

Prior to joining HISC, Debra Jager served as National Market Development Manager for ACCOR Hotels, Sales and Events for Sheraton Hotels, Market Researcher and Personnel/Business Manager for one of London Undergrounds Business Units. She carries a degree in Psychology and used this to get her start in business management/personnel. A marketer by nature, throughout her career she has gravitated toward that field. She possesses a Post-Grad Diploma in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Debra’s husband Lain is the CEO of Zespri International. Zespri is a marketing organization for Kiwi Fruit New Zealand. He has been with the organization for 11 years and he plans to continue with the company. Debra and Lain have two boys, nearly 9 and 11. In her words, they are two VERY cool individuals!

When asked why she was initially interested in Home Instead Senior Care and why she pursued the NZ Master Franchise Partnership she said “Throughout my work history I have nearly always been involved in senior care. My first real afterschool job was working in a local rest home. I worked in the rest home while on university vacations as well. While working in London for the London Underground I did part-time relief work for the elderly in their own homes, just because I loved the people and the work.”

She went on to say that she is “very, very excited about the opportunity to work alongside the Home Instead Master Franchise Partners and with the Home Office to create something very special here in New Zealand thus taking the name of Home Instead Senior Care one stage further in the world.”
