Home Instead Senior Care
Martinsburg, WV

I want to thank you so much for your attention to detail and let you know how very much we appreciate the flexibility of your staff. Every caregiver you have sent our way has been especially wonderful, professional and most of all caring. We find the caregivers easy to work with and enjoy their company as much as my mom does.

Paul and Lori Hogan

It All Started With Our Founders

Lori and Paul Hogan, Home Instead Senior Care Co-Founders
It was Paul and Lori Hogan’s own experience caring for Paul's grandmother in her home for 12 years that inspired them to launch Home Instead Senior Care in 1994. Realizing that there were others families like theirs that needed help to keep their loved ones safely living at home, they have devoted themselves to making home care available throughout the U.S. and around the world. It’s what they know and love, and their services allow them to make a real difference to communities, families and individuals everywhere.

Caring Is What We Do

The Hogans’ goal has always been to provide the highest-quality care in the industry, and your local team shares the same vision of being your trusted partner in care. Every Home Instead Senior Care franchise owner has demonstrated a real commitment to caring for seniors and derives personal satisfaction by responding to this critical need that is growing so rapidly.

Our CAREGiversSM Are at the Heart of It All

Our CAREGivers are residents of the local area who are carefully screened, fully bonded and insured. Each takes part in our exclusive multi-phase training and we place a high priority on matching our CAREGivers with our clients to help develop a bond that will foster independence, promote well being and support the senior’s needs with respect and dignity.

Our Guiding Principles
The Home Instead Senior Care franchise network embraces the following core values
held by the Home Office and demonstrated by our commitment to seniors:
To honor God in all we do.
To treat each other with dignity and respect.
To encourage growth in ourselves and others.
To build value in our service to others.

Aaron Blight, Owner

Aaron and Jessica Blight are the owners of the Martinsburg Home Instead Senior Care franchise.  Aaron and Jessica were caregivers for Jessica's mother during her five-year battle with cancer from 2000 until 2005.  After Aaron and Jessica contacted a non-medical home care company for 24-hour assistance with Jessica's mother, they immediately saw the value of these services, which not only made it possible to fulfill Mom's wishes to remain in her home until her death but also provided support and peace of mind to the entire family during a difficult period of time.  This personal experience with non-medical home care ultimately led Aaron to Home Instead Senior Care at the beginning of 2008 when he bought the Home Instead Senior Care franchise in Winchester, VA.  Two years later, Aaron expanded service into the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia by opening the new office in Martinsburg.

Prior to arriving at Home Instead Senior Care, Aaron was the Director of the Division of Financial Operations for the Medicaid program at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  Aaron holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in health care policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.  Aaron works full-time on the business, while Jessica concentrates primarily on raising their four children.  Aaron LOVES helping seniors and their families on a daily basis and is totally committed to providing exceptional quality care to our clients.

Mary Grove, Recruitment and Retention

The Home Instead Senior Care office team welcomed Mary in August of 2010. Mary works with the hiring and recruitment department, as she interviews potential CAREGivers and conducts orientations for hired CAREGivers to ensure that they’re prepared for their responsibilities in the homes of our clients. Mary also assists our CSR department when needed. Family is important to her as she is the mother of three kids and loves spending time with her little sister.

Lois Tasker, Administrative Assistant

Lois joined the Martinsburg team in June 2010. Lois has lived all over the country and has held various caregiving and office positions. Lois came to us from the Home Instead Senior Care franchise in Florida where she was a CAREGiver for 3 years. Lois supports the staff in a wide array of administrative functions. She is in charge of keeping service packets and applications stocked and ready for use. She also assists the HR department checking references and interviewing potential CAREGivers. She is often the first point of contact for those who call or visit our office. Lois enjoys playing games, spending time with her family and making quilts. Most of all, Lois enjoys taking care of seniors.
