1/14/2010 - letter from a daughter of a client
Living in Switzerland and having my elderly mom with memory and health problems in Florida has been a sleep-stealing experience. I couldn't clone myself to be in two places at the same time, and as wonderful as my mom's neighbors were, they were not her responsibility. By chance, someone gave me an American magazine with an advertisement for Home Instead Senior Care and I contacted Jenny in the Charlotte County Office.

Within a couple of days, she set up my mom with a caregiver, that my mom loves, who does the things I can't do being so far away. My mom has the company she needs, the help she needs to do things she can't do by herself and I know some administrative stuff is being checked on.

I won't say I sleep all through the night, and I do still worry, but I know the people at Home Instead are just an email away to solve the problems, I am not there to solve. It is the next best solution to cloning.

10/16/2009 - letter from a client
I never write these kind of letters usually but this one is long overdue and I have wanted to express my feelings about the care, consideration, professionalism, concern, and friendlyness you folks showed in your care form.

First of all there was Jenny, who came to our home and explained about all the services the company would provide, took all the information from me that pertained to my needs. Just a very nice lady who put me at ease about their caring for me during Nancy's absence.

Then Jim came in and we hit it off right away. He kept telling me to let him know if there was anything he might do for me. He went to the store for me, did chores around the house. He showed much care for me and is top shelf in my opinion.

Then there was Home Instead's CareGiver, Judy, and I don't know enough adjectives to describe my feelings for her. In my condition I seldom get out of the house except to go to doctors and she did take me to a doctors appointment. She also took me to Office Depot where I purchased a GPS device then on to Ponce de Leon Park. It was such a treat to go for that ride and get out of the house.

About the house, she did so many things. She cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed the floors, swiffered the tiles, did laundry, emptied trash, taught me things on the computer and she was an excellant conversationalist. We had nice talks where I was able to see her compassion for humankind, just a wonderful, lovely, loving lady. Our Lord will surely enjoy her presence in His home.

Thank you all for everything and I look forward to your care again one day. We have three granddaughters due to have babies in January and I wish Nancy to make the trip north again. If she goes (I'm sure she will), I will seek  your care again.
