Abby Dattilo, Member of Executive Leadership Team
Abby is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in Communications/Public Relations. Her favorite memory of working with a senior was when a potential client shared with her that she was struggling to wake up each day. She needed a reason to get out of bed. She wanted to have a CAREGiver so that she could have a reason to get up and have a full day. That interaction was a pivotal for Abby as she really understood the potential positive difference that could be made in a senior’s life. It has kept Abby’s focus strongly directed towards Changing the Face of Aging and giving seniors a new outlook on their options in care. Laura Gillian, Director of Office Leadership
Laura was born and raised in Liverpool, NY. Laura attended Houghton College, in New York, where she received a degree in Elementary Education. As much as Laura enjoyed teaching, she changed gears in 2006 and joined the Home Instead Senior Care team. She explains, “It really is personal to me. The Bible commands us to care for widows and orphans, and I truly feel that taking care of these people is such a benefit and privilege for me! I feel burdened to do the best by them as they have worked hard for us.” Laura continues, “I have such vivid memories of the year that my mother's mom came to live with us. My mom took a year off work to help my grandmother stay home once she became unable to care for herself. That time with her was such a blessing to me. She and I had a very special bond and I know she is looking down on me and is proud of the woman she helped raise.” She explains her passion for seniors by remembering, “Those sweet people really showed me how great their generation was. I always felt such a connection that I just want to be able to give back!”
During her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, Slim; playing with her two furry mutts, Dude and Darby; making crafts; cooking; knitting; and going anywhere to hear live music. Bill Dattilo, Director of Client Services Bill is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Business. Bill came on staff in July of 2007. He enjoys working with seniors and helping them attain their best quality of life. When explaining Home Instead Senior Care’s motto To Us It’s Personal Bill states, “We do not believe in cookie cutter service for our clients. We listen carefully to their needs and tailor our services to best fit their needs. Our clients are not numbers or invoices but personal relationships made by staff members who want the very best for them.”

Michele was born in Chicago Illinois and was raised on the North Shore of Chicago She and her husband, Chris have been married for 16 year. They have three beautiful daughters, ages 21, 15 and 12. The statement “To us it’s personal” means that working for Home Instead Senior Care isn’t just another job. No matter who it is, whether a CAREGiver, a client or a client’s family member, or even the office staff, we do our very best to provide for whatever their needs may be at the time that they are needed and we do that for each and every person that calls on the phone, walks in our door, or that we may go to visit. They become our first priority and we do whatever we can to make their day better.
Cinda Ezzi, Community Service Representative Cinda was born and raised Masontown, West Virginia. Her family is the joy of her life. She and her husband and her extended family love living in Punta Gorda. Cinda states, ”I really like to make a difference in seniors’ lives and that is exactly what Home Instead Senior Care does. Making a difference by caring for them in their homes.” This is very personal to us including me. My mom is 85 and I want to provide the upmost best care of others just like I would for my own mom. It's important to take great care of our clients and take some of the worry from their families. I have many memories with seniors but making them smile, making them feel like they are important, making them feel appreciated and loved are the best ones. Teresa Blair, Staff Coordinator
Teresa was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She has one son and two grandsons. Teresa feels that seniors are most deserving of the help HISC can provide them. She feels honored to be involved with providing that loving care for them. She expounds on her feelings by saying, “I try to treat each client with the respect that I would want for my own parent or family member. Her favorite memory of working with a senior was of the very first client she had with HISC. She was a woman in her final stages of Alzheimer’s. Her daughter had given up her business in New York and had moved here to help her mom. The daughter had been here with her Mom for eight years and watched the progression of the disease that stole her Mother’s personality. The daughter told Teresa that her Mother was the most wonderful Mother ever, and she would be with her to the end. Teresa was touched hearing a child say that about her Mother. She says, “I'll never forget the sincere look in her eyes when she was telling me this.” Teresa strives to show that same devotion every day as she loves and cares for her Clients and CAREGivers as a Staff Coordinator. |
