___Who pays the CAREGiver?
Because our CAREGivers are employees, not independent contractors, we assume all the responsibilities of handling taxes, benefits, scheduling, insurance, bonding, and workers' compensation. Each CAREGiver is paid bi-monthly through payroll by our office. If an organization requires you to pay the caregiver directly, it is recommended that you consult your CPA and attorney for tax and liability concerns. An agency should be very transparent about their coverage. Ask to see their documentation.

Clients and CAREGivers are welcome to stop by anytime during office hours. The office is where we hold quarterly CAREGiver meetings and conduct mandatory ongoing training. Stop by and take a tour!
___Veterans Aid & Attendance
Our Veteran client's receive FREE professional assistance with the application process. A qualified Veteran is eligible for up to $1644.00 per month, while a surviving spouse is eligible for up to $1056.00 per month. A couple is eligible for up to $1949.00 per month.
___Do they require you to obligate a certain number of hours of service?
Home Instead Senior Care does not require our clients to sign a contract or obligate a certain number of hours each week or month. You can turn our services on or off when you need it. We promote independence and strive to get our clients back on their feet.
___Do they offer FREE managed client care from a RN, BSN for skilled services?
Home Instead Senior Care partners with several trusted skilled agencies throughout Lorain County. Our clients are not alone when it comes to the care they expect and deserve. Client care is managed by the owner who is an RN, BSN-Certified Dementia Practitioner.
___ Do they have experienced and trained CAREGivers?
Our CAREGivers either have professional or personal experiences with caring for seniors. Regardless of experience, Home Instead Senior Care has a multiphase elder care training program to ensure they have the proper education and training. Most importantly, their experiences drive them to forge extraordinary relationships with their clients. To us, it's personal.

We get to know you and your loved one's needs and desires before a CAREGiver arrives at your door. The information we gather from each client beforehand enables us to create and maintain a compatible match with our clients and their CAREGivers. And to ensure the relationship begins positively, we arrange a personal introduction for our CAREGivers and their client and loved ones.

CAREGivers are fully bonded and insured, and undergo a detailed screening process, including reference checks and a thorough criminal background check, TB-testing, and drug screening, to ensure our clients' safety.
___ Do they enforce a quality control program?
Home Instead Senior Care conducts regular quality assurance visits, and phone calls to make sure that all client and CAREGiver relationships meet both parties' expectations. Each client receives a journal that allows our CAREGivers to document daily activities.
