Last night I spoke with Mother and she could not say enough nice things about the caregiver that came out to stay with her...it turned out that the caregiver had grown up in the same town where we lived for 18 years so the two of them hit it off instantly and they were chatting away when I left to return home. Our caregiver has been more than helpful to my mother. She has a very good attitude...she is caring, giving, and more than willing to go the extra step to help out. She is always on time, and she makes sure that mother has what she needs and wants. She is very happy to help out around my mother's house. She makes sure that her doctor's appointments are kept, and is more than willing to drive her to them. She is always happy...never in a bad mood. She makes sure that mom takes her meds. She cooks meals, cleans up and makes sure that mom has enough to eat. I was leary about having someone come in to take care of my mom, but she has proven me wrong...she is one in a million. ~ D.B.
